A must win game. I would replace two players who had poor games at Bristol Rovers. Konsa in for Djiksteel. And Mavidi in for the underperforming Kaikai. Don’t let us down Charlton
Maybe there will be a place somewhere for Magennis, to counter Wimbledon's physical game. Bowyer will have a better idea of how to use him than Robinson.
Not really. Up to a point I could accept the Wombles anger at the presence of MKD, and we are all aware of the sort of reaction a good Karl Robinson post match interview can inspire. That doesn't in any way justify the sort of torrets fueled rage and hatred that Wimbledon fans seem to be able to muster. They could try and support their team and hope to finish above the Dons, but that seems way beyond them. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for them, but recent meetings have drained that completely - they present themselves as a nasty little club and their fans generally likewise.
The impression does seem to be that the hatred of AFC Wimbledon fans towards MK Dons is threatening to consume them. Mix that in with a natural obsession with the Crazy gang and the peak of their late 1980's fame and they seem to be developing a 'Millwall-like' siege mentality. If things continue to go this way, in the future increasing numbers of neutrals will see AFC Wimbledon as a nasty little Club rather than a triumph for a community robbed of its team.
Remember going there (Plough Lane) in around 1987 when they had Vinnie & Fashanu etc - they molested us 4-1
Just checked my Colin Cameron- you're right, we played them twice in 1987 at Plough Lane, losing 2-0 and 4-1. Our results against them were as bad as our results against Millwall, I went to Plough Lane when they beat us 3-1 in 1985. They are hoping to get back to Plough Lane in a couple of years, and how can any Charlton fan not be pleased for them?
Good to see my memory wasn’t playing tricks. We got totally annihilated that day - and I’m not just talking about the football. What a dirty side that was.
Ken, can you remember the torrents of rage when Big Nose 'Pardew' brought his Southampton to the Valley I think I may have joined in... I can't remember?
He stopped taking the corner kicks in front of the Charlton fans eventually .........................................................................................................................................................................................
