Good Morning Everyone Saiz and Lasogga have hit the woodwork for Leeds four times apiece! That's more than any other Championship player. By virtue are Leeds an unlucky team? Would you say they get their fair amount of 50 / 50 decisions? Does anybody believe the gypies curse that was placed on Leeds Utd all those years ago? Leeds are set to beat a host of Championship clubs to secure the signing of Shrewsbury Town midfielder Jon Nolan in the Summer. please log in to view this image
Good morning from sunny Killinghall. Shrewsbury FFS!!! Rad is still not listening and still not learning. Before someone says this kid is known as the Shropshire Gary Speed get tae feck!
if Bucks has banned Elland will you send him a memo threatening to quit ? might have more punch if you threaten to stay
Morning all The BIG stories today you can forget because unless the Shrewsbury player is wanted by Real Madrid and every prem club then forget it. We dont need any more bargain basement players who might turn out to be good, we have a dressing room full already. We need tried and tested performers now. One biggy doing the rounds is Pablo going to Wolves on a freebie as the club have messed about too long with a contract. Another horror story coming out of Italy is the Nigerian striker who cant score goals has now bragged of a gentlemen's agreement to come to Leeds in a few weeks time. Dont get it we have plenty of non scoring strikers. One story that may please some is that Orta is being chased by Deportivo La Coruna Hope all went well after the scope yesterday Mike
Morning all. As we approach the end of the season we’ll be associated with every player who is ‘affordable’ as agents try to drum up interest. As we’ve learnt in the past, 95% of it is garbage, unless they are out of contract we can’t sign anyone for a few months yet so I’m not going to allow it to bother me. No use slamming anyone over rumours, I believe we’ll have a good idea of what direction we’re heading within the first week of the final whistle of the season being blown. If two weeks in we’ve still got both PH and Orta here then I’ll start to panic.
I have now recovered having been sent to bed at 6 oclock by Moe .Thsy said my Barrats is no worse nor no better as I was diagnosed with it in 2010 I was pleased with the result now I have got gout again .We are off to St Annes for 3days but thank you for asking Doc
Good Morning to Matt and co from a very wet Bardsey my garden is water logged at least the birds will have plenty I am surprised Matt you didn't like my suggestion Of Olly Burke from West Brom I thought he was a very exciting player before he was sold to RB for 13mand I know he has done nothing at Brom but this means his value will be so much less and he has the speed and the talent a bid of £5m would be a snip Didn't realise he was the most expensive Scottish footballer ever and is still only 20,Cost WBA 15m
Morning all I'm surprised Deprotivo are sniffing round Orta after such a shoddy job he's done with us and Boro in the past. If this kid from Shrewsbury is for the youth system then he can go do one, if he is for the first team then i'm willing to give him aa try. We might find a diamond in the rough
OK just seen his 25 then let's give him a try before we write him off, we might actually have an unexpected half decent player ready to step up
Is it just me that wished the season had finished weeks ago and we had a nice long break from the pain? I suspect its not On a cheerier note and while we're on the subject of pain, this time/day 2 years ago i was about 11 mile into my first marathon round Manchester and this time in 12 days I'll hopefully be a few mile round my 2nd (and last!!) in London. Rumour has it we go through some horrible run down area at one point, begins with B, name evades me at the moment
Agree to some extent but yet another gamble amongst many gambles that have not paid off. The odds on the bloke being good enough for regular first team in Championship are not good, whereas a tested achiever is guaranteed but more expensive. I just feel we now need to spend or bumble along. In the time weve spent in L1 and championship we have seen WBA, Watford, Southampton, Swansea, Bournemouth, Norwich, Brighton, Burnley, Newcastle, Hull......... all pass us and leave us
On Boxing Day 2017 we secured our 4th straight win by defeating Burton 2-1 away. This left us in a very healthy 5th position in the League on 42 points with gap of 4 points to the 7th place club (Boro). Even though we didn't finish December off as we would have wished our form for the month as a whole was still a creditable P6 W4 D1 L1. Apparently around this time Radz decided that TC wasn't the man for the job as he didn't utilize his squad sufficiently over the xmas period. Perhaps that assessment was correct as we started January with a disappointing 0-0 draw at home to Forest but hardly the time to panic. More worrying is were those feelings passed down to TC who then made wholesale changes for the FA Cup tie at Newport which resulted in both an embarrassing exit from the cup but more importantly a 6 game ban for Siaz after he was sent on to try and rescue the game. We started 5 players in that game who had seen next to zero action and in addition had a bench padded out with kids from the youth team set up. Amazingly after a solid start to the season the coach was now under immense pressure to win the next match away at Ipswich. Where and from whom had all this pressure suddenly materialized from. It seems our owner a man who is self professed as an amateur in all things football related might just not be the cool calm and collected guy he would like us to believe. Without a ridiculous red card in the first half for O'Kane we surely would have come away from Portman Road with the points but why I ask was O'Kane so wound up to commit such an out of character offence. This self inflicted pressure continued to escalate and perhaps unsurprisingly now with hindsight another first half red card happened in the next match and yet another in the home match following that. Now TC seemed to be a very calm erudite young coach but somebody somewhere had placed unbelievable stress on him after xmas and that had transmitted itself either directly or perhaps through other sources onto the players resulting in a lack of clarity whist playing. I'm speculating here but I think once January 1st arrived and the transfer window opened the people who own/manage our club from the top down failed spectacularly to keep a sense of perspective and calm.
