Mouserland has exploded in the largest occurrence of mass hysterical outrage since the last thing they didn't like....expect t-shirts about Christians and crosses.

    Sadly it isn't:

I've don't remember anything like this from a Spurs player. And whilst to a certain degree that is down to the fact that Kane is probably the most talented and ambitious we've had since I became conscious of the sexiest club in the world back in 1993, it also stinks of pure ego and gets me worried that Kane will now prioritise his own personal battle with Salah over our overall performance.

I think it's ego that will keep Kane at Spurs and the adulation and respect he receives from HIS hometown fans. A predator of goals has to have a large ego and if that keeps him wanting to emulate Jimmy Greaves (and other Spurs heroes) and wanting to beat that record then it will be to Spurs benefit. He's a rare beast, we have to give him some leeway, especially as so far his behavior and comments have been beyond reproach I think.

If Fat Frank can score goals when the ball didn't cross the line, why can't Kane score goals even though he didn't touch the ball?

Come to think of it, how about we start a petition that says every single Premier League goal scored in August is given to him?

That seems to be the least important thing now. It's taken on a load of bullshit that's laughable really. Does anyone get this upset about appealing a red card?

I think it's high time we appeal that Pedro Mendes "goal".

Damn... Dick move in my eyes.

Even if he truly did touch it, is it really worth all this hassle to go through? Especially as what he’s asking is for something to removed from a teammate.

Not cool in my opinion. It’s a thumbs down from me, Harry.

Hope Erikson is fine with this (not seen a single comment by him), if not then the club are making an appeal against one of their own players in favour of another. Not a good situation.

If the panel have given the goal to Eriksen, Kane will have to prove he touched it.
None of the TV pictures help him.
I doubt they'll overturn a decision because a striker says he believed the ball brushed his shoulder.

I really don't think that Eriksen gives a **** about that sort of thing, to be honest. He seems immensely laid back.
He'd probably give him the goal if it were up to him, even if he didn't score it.
“I think Harry, if he touched it, he touched it and it's his goal. How he celebrated, he had the feeling he touched the ball.”

I totally agree with you, I don't think he is arsed about it either way

    Highlight 2
I was being serious, maybe Erikson has said in-house he doesn't care or even that he would like Harry to be given the goal but, without some sort of comment by him it looks like the club are prioritising one player over the other.

Either way, Harry made such a song and dance about it in his comments immediately after the match that any sort of subsequent conversation with Eriksen would've seemed a bit staged and forced.

This whole thing doesn't sit well with me and tbh Salah is on red hot form at the moment - I don't think Kane will overhaul him.

I understand your point and I think it might be different if they were both strikers or Eriksen was more egotistical.
Alli would probably be genuinely desperate to keep it himself and also on the wind up, if it were him.
Even one of our less regular goalscorers might get annoyed about it.

In an interview I saw after the game Eriksen didn’t seem bothered at all. He said something on the lines of “if Harry touched the ball, it’s his goal and I’m happy to take the assist.”

    <ok>

At the end of the year -2017- when Harry was after the record of most goals in the calendar year, it seemed that everyone was just feeding him the ball and that cost us a few other good opportunities to score through other players. Fortunately he got the goal -and a few more- and then the team relaxed but it does worry me that a similar scenario might happen and affect the team play.
