If opinion polls had proved correct over the past few years:

    1. Britain would still be in the EU
    2. Clinton would be President of the USA
    3. May would have at least a 30 seat majority (without the help of the DUP)

I wouldn't pay much heed to opinion polls these days. They're not good at measuring trends in population during the social media age. About the only time pollsters get it correct is on-the-eve polls and that's because they use a large sample (10,000) and even then they got the EU vote wrong (the poll predicted a remain/leave vote of 52/48).

SPL set to ****e it by playing the Celtic v Sevco game after Celtic have wrapped up the title. Afraid of a repeat of last year's Scottish Cup final scenes where huns mutilated the good name of Scottish football by spreading their hatred from the stands to the pitch just because they lost.

Scum from cradle to grave. Especially Aldo.

Rangers chairman Dave King has said the club's priority is to appoint a permanent manager who can deliver "immediate success" for the club and vowed to back the boss with funds for a "sustained challenge".

Following the sacking of Pedro Caixinha in October, development team boss Graeme Murty stepped into the hotseat for a second interim spell and was appointed until the end of the season.

Murty has the club in second place in the Premiership, though is in a three-way fight Aberdeen and Hibernian with five league matches to go, and Rangers face Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final this weekend.

King praised Murty's efforts and admitted upheaval and managerial change had impacted on the team this season but highlighted an improved level of player after the January transfer window closed.

In a message to season ticket holders on the club's official website, King said: "Over the last year we have made significant strides off the pitch but the on pitch progress has not been satisfactory due to unplanned changes to the football management structure and the negative impact this had on the playing staff.

"Graeme Murty was again thrust into an extremely difficult situation and continues to provide the stability and progress that we need at this time.

"Graeme can be proud of what he has achieved so far."

Don't know what's funniest: King promising a top-notch manager, another warchest or the fact that Murty's basically been told he's out on his ear six days before the biggest match of his season. Way to instill confidence in yer manager <laugh>

Not bad advice. Having my teeth extracted without aneasthetic would have been less painful than watching that performance yesterday. Roll on the summer and some new signings and some players moving on.
