    Barclays Premier League
    Date - Saturday, 14 April 2018
    Kick off - 3:00p
    Venue - The Liberty Stadium

Following their hard fought, but at times disappointing, 1-1 draw away at bottom club West Bromwich Albion, next up for the Swans is a home match against Everton. With matches coming up against Man City and Chelsea, it is essential that Carvalhal's team pick up at least a point - preferably all 3.

Everton, who are 9th in the table come into the match on the back of a creditable goalless home draw in the Merseyside derby match against Liverpool: indeed, the Toffees looked the more likely winners during the final 10-15 minutes.

The Swans have played Everton on 28 occasions, winning 3, drawing 9, and losing 16. So history is very much on Everton's side.

However, in the corresponding match last season, the Swans won 1-0, a result that enabled the Swans to leapfrog Hull City and climb out of the Premier League relegation zone with just two games remaining.

Fernando Llorente got the better of Phil Jagielka to nod Jordan Ayew's cross past goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg from close range.

Mason Holgate's last-ditch challenge prevented Alfie Mawson from making it 2-0 before Ayew hit the post from 16 yards.

Turning to Saturday, Swansea will welcome back Jordan Ayew after serving his 3 match ban for the red card received in the 11th minute against Huddersfield, and it is no coincidence that the Swans have not looked as sharp up front without Jordan.

Hopefully, the Ayew brothers and the rest of the team can re-discover the form shown when beating West Ham at home. Victory is desperately needed, otherwise, looking at the next 3 fixtures, it is highly possible that the Swans could go into the final week of the season in the relegation zone having to win both home matches against fellow relegation rivals Southampton and Stoke.

My heart says 2-1 to the Swans, but my head says 1-1. <cheers>

I see a win here with Jordan Ayew back, hope he's not too rusty and out of sync, going for a 2-1 home win, I'm sure Carlos will see the importance of this game, and be relieved that JA is back leading the front line.............<ok>

A win would be fantastic but I'll be just as happy with a point.

I can see us limping to the finishing line with some 1-1 draws apart from the last game of the season which we will win 3-0

    Can't see a win TBH.
WBA away or Everton home ... which should give us 3 points?
I'd have argued both last week.
Hope we get a point next Saturday.

No win with the way we are playing atm. A massive improvement with Carlos's tactics is definitely needed or Everton will run us ragged and im fed up of seeing this happen game after game recently. 0 - 3 Everton with ease if no improvement....

Everton have only won 2 PL away games all season . I expect this statistic won't improve next Saturday .

Everton are a top half team with 41 points.....There is no comparison between the two sides season, One already safe and one fighting for their life to stay in the top flight.....Can we win ? Not on your nelly the way Carlos has the team playing.....Change being more positive with much more forward play and we have a chance but i can't see it with past results and the way we played.....We will probably be camped in our own half as usual ....

Swans win 1-0 Jordan Ayew to score. I am confident and not a serial misery like some.

Carlos is pleased to welcome back the best forward in the PL right now!!!

“He’s a very important player to us and he makes a massive difference when he plays. He thinks different than others.

“Jordan is a player with pace and he’s a player that keeps the ball very well. He’s a player that’s very good one-to-one.

    .
    ...........Well said Carlos!........ <cheers>

On Abraham I have said previous that he is far from complete yet as a forward, and Carlos has come out and said as much also:
    .
"Tammy must progress, but you must understand that a player who is 20-years-old is not completley ready so there will be things he must improve, especially when a team is fighting to survive".
    .
JA must start this game, bet he will be choping at the bit!........:1980_boogie_down:

I still think Tammy is at his best when he's running on to balls played through or over the top and poaching in the penalty area. I wish everyone including CC would realise holding the ball up for others is not his game.

Exactly what ? we thought we'd get a win on Saturday and most posters on here think we'll lose against Everton ,what happens on the day is what counts

Under 23's for match fitness to start with and give one of the under 23's a chance from off the bench
