There's virtually no normal banter on here now and it's just constantly hostile.
It seems pretty unlikely that things will change.

Picking someone who constantly wins **** polls here to mod the place just seems like a windup, though.
He's been a staff member (whatever that means) for quite some time, so maybe it's just that BRB trusts him, rather than anything intentional.

I'm sure that even you'll admit that it's hardly a great sign for board harmony that someone who's widely disliked is picked as the mod.
I'm not trying to insult you by pointing it out, but anyone who's as divisive is probably a poor choice, aren't they?

It is exactly that. It may be a poor choice as you say, but i trusted him, I would rather have a poor choice than someone who would fook us all over.

DMD knows the score, he has even reiterated that score back to me. He knows i will bin him as quick as i did give him the status, but it has to be about trust, and i'm trusting him.

If he screws me over, I will be the first to put my hands up after shooting him, but I don't believe DMD would do that to me.

'One' is the answer you were looking for with your 'constantly' and 'always' claims, which is about the level of accuracy the rest of your claim has too.

These things aren't a popularity contest, I couldn't give a flying **** what some anonymous username thinks of me, particularly if they're basing their opinion on false information, but that's irrelevant. If there's nothing to mod, it makes no difference who is doing it.

Sadly, people don't self moderate enough, often for fear of upsetting someone on their 'side'. I don't post on most of this forum, but there's still bitchy backstabbing going on on those threads too, so to try and lump the blame my way is simply silly.

I would need to know the basis of their complaint. But, in general, I’m completely against running to the mods unless it’s something that’s crossed a red line. I’m
told Hiag was an offender, but I know for a fact that he was far from the only one.

It’s what has brought us to the unhappy state of this board at the moment.

You were so pissed off with being banned by old trigger finger that you did a flounce off post. Others feel similarly hard done by.

I don’t believe modding this board is gonna change anything from the way it is now.

I clearly don't get on with DMD, so I'm trying to make it clear that it's not about my opinion of him.
He's very divisive on here and so are many of those that are supporting him on this thread.

I personally don't think that he'd do anything dodgy, as he only posts on the politics article.
It would be like going up north and installing Maggie Thatcher in a political position, though.

It's not about whether you're a **** or not, but about the fact that you're widely perceived to be one.

I don't blame DMD...you put him there because you want to be controversial and you have a philosophy which suggests you enjoy doing things to show your 'power'. You caused all this ultimately and your demeanour throughout has suggested that you thrived off it.

Biggest evidence to suggest I am right is the fact that you extracted topics from the Politics thread and gave them sub threads...why? Because you wanted the **** to spread when you could have just discussed on the Politics thread. It's no secret that the posters on here had an unwritten rule and that was to keep Politics to that one thread...you knew how to spread the **** though.

About a dozen posters voted for me in that poll, which doesn't suggest 'widely', so file that with 'constantly' and 'always'.

And when that 'perception' is based on the false information the likes of you churn out in replies like your recent ones, it adds to the division. It drives other posters away from this area of the board.

With posts like that, you are part of the problem, and you can become part of the solution you claim to want. Crack on, post and see how it goes. You may even see why your perception is wrong.
