The Arsenal v Southampton game will be deemed a 59000 plus crowd but the ground has between a quarter and a third of its seats empty.
It looks crap on tv, kills any chance of an atmosphere and is crap to play in for the players.

St Totteringham's Day was only funny because the spuds themselves made such a big deal about finishing ahead of us in the league. We invented it as a way of mocking them. A few seasons of the reverse doesn't bother me (if we win trophies in the interim).

    This <applause>

The spuds don't get it. St Totts day was funny because it happened every season for years on end so we played on their inferiority complex about it. Them (HIAG) now making a massive deal about it, simply highlights their small club mentality.

Ironically enough, they're probably where we were a few seasons back, having only that to brag about (finishing ahead of us while winning nothing). In a sense, these last few seasons have been different in that we're probably as bad as we have been in the last 20 years and yet we still have 3 trophies and 3 community shields (and the potential of another in the Europa League). It's weird as it once brings to mind the thing of whether it's better to finish higher (and win nothing) or to finish lower (and at least have a pot). Ideally one would want both. But I definitely think nothing can take away the memories of winning a trophy.

The supreme irony is, even if they win the FA cup this year (which i don't think they will), they STILL have nothing to brag about as we've done that ourselves for 3 of out of the last four seasons. <laugh> It was beginning to get boring.

Yeah I tried explaining this to HIAG ages ago, to no avail.
It was only funny because it kept happening, it sprung up organically due to events that unfolded.
"St. Arsehole's Day" isn't funny because its an engineered, forced version of the reverse, thats happened only once (Soon to be twice).
And lets face it, Only Spurs fans would be sad enough to give a ****, since they win **** all.

  16. This weekend, Spurs have City at home, and Arsenal are away to the Toon.

If we win and Arsenal only draw, we'll be celebrating Sunday night, lads!

HIAG has aptly given his pretend trophy the acronym SAD.

    Sums it up perfectly <laugh>
