Not an ounce of hope that we will get anything from this game. Still cant believe how things went against west ham last week. It is indeed a funny old game and boy do we need it do be today.
Our results have been pretty consistent these last few games. Got thrashed by Newcastle 3-0, hardly scraped through against a division 1 team, got thrashed by West Ham. I dread what is going to happen to us this afternoon against Arsenal
When people tell me Hoedt should be played (over Yoshida) for his passes, I think of that first goal and Maya's inch-perfect pass that kicked it off. Vin
A draw would seem like a victory. Come on saints, show you have some fight in you and it means something to you. At least give us hope for the last 6 games. COYR. Up the ****ing saints
That's what happens when you move the ball fast and catch teams out...stop being so bloody predictable.
I am normally Mr positive, but I cannot see anything other than a loss here. We may score, huff and puff, but I cannot see beyond a loss. Saints have driven all my hope out of me. I will eat my head if we get anything out of this.
We need a side-splitting, tears-rolling, struggling to breath, hilarity of epic proportions. Even funnier than the Python joke that kills anyone that reads it.
Only possible thing that will lift my spirits is Sims being announced in the starting 11. Actually, scratch that. I'm constantly lifting spirits when watching Saints recently.
Courtesy of a columnist on a national paper 'Tweet of the week' "If Sunderland think I'm going to renew my season ticket next season when we're playing in the third tier of English football after spending 10 years in the Premier League, only to suffer back-to-back relegations to the Championship and then League One, they'd be absolutely right" Perspective, wouldn't you say!
Or is it just an example of BEING a true supporter.... rather than one of the 'fair weather folk' who claim to be fans(?)
Strangely I’m like this too. We could be 5-0 down and I’ll be thinking if we can score a few goals here, we might get back in to this game. Yes I must be deluded... but you stick to your team through thick and thin.
I stay when at the game because we are all in it together. If you think it is ok to jump up and down after a win as if you personally scored the goals, then you are also part of a crap performance. However, this rule does not apply at home....I no longer watch....I record and watch later after a good result. That hasn't happened much this season.
I've put 2 bets on you today, the win at 4-1 and win btts 8-1. Looking at it in print I'm thinking of a correct score now.
