Why are people so desperate to put City down. They’re a fabulous team, and have been a joy to watch this season. Pep has done a great job.

Ignore the media hyperbole and enjoy watching them (especially if they give us three points next month!)

Oh I agree they are great to watch it just gets nauseating to hear the overblown hype when they're no where near that level yet.

Anything that wipes a smug grin of Peps face is a good thing too.

British. They love to knock success. They back an underdog everytime and then kick them when they reach the top.

It really is, right? I can understand that people get bothered by the money etc etc, but if City are playing, I’ll watch because I like football. Just kick back and enjoy them.

I am not 'knocking' City and enjoy watching them play. Purely saying that it was a bit silly to start proclaiming them as the best PL side ever as they clearly have some way to go in that regard.

Annoyingly, the other team I actually enjoy watching as a neutral is Liverpool :(

Who's putting them down? Just because some don't think they're the best in the PL era it doesn't mean they're putting them down. They're a wonderful side but for me there have been better sides. The Arsenal invincibles were so much better defensively and had the likes of Henry and Pires going forward.

They also managed to deny us winning the FA Cup, so by default have to be the best side in English football history.

Right now they are almost as good, which is sort of a problem of what you mean by who is the best. I'll settle for saying Man City are the best ever measured across a single season.

Ah, but that side needed 7 minutes of injury time to get a point from us, whereas City only needed 6 and to get a win :)

He’s probably told Albert Steptoe to cut down on his 20 a day habit .........:emoticon-0105-wink:

He should've ****ed Steptoe's season up for ruining our chances of a major trophy last season.

I honestly believe it is Puel's reserved personality that is the issue, the man just does not express himself well in English.

They've still got to get past Burnley, us, Palace, West Ham, Arsenal and Spurs first.

If they don't win any of them - off the back of minimal wins since mid December - and history might well repeat itself.

Can’t do it. Simply cannot bring myself to watch them. Life’s too short to spend it fawning over past lovers.

Personally I find it almost impossible to watch any team except Saints. There are too many players that come across as total bellends for me to invest any real time or interest in them.
