I don't think it would work either mate. As soon as the mod deleted a post for whatever reason, it would all kick off if no one knew who had done it or why.

And mod's should be accountable to the forum users. For that to happen they'd need to be known.

You are letting your judgment be influenced by some of your chums who have overstepped the mark.

@DMD I would ask that you mod without comment for a while and see if there is a workload that requires a mod at all.

 

It’s an unmoderated board. As luv has said, if a poster chooses to reveal personal info, as Sky has, then that’s their choice. But using social media to dig out info and then posting here is a definite red line.

I think most of us are adult and sensible enough to know where the lines are and when one has been crossed. As luv says, it always worked well that way before.

I agree with the gist of what you are saying, but we both know that there are clearly 2 camps and they will never agree on where any lines are drawn. One says black and the other say white. It's gone too far for that to change now which is why we have to have a mod.

Let's just see how it goes rather than continue tilting at windmills.

 

As I say, it worked very well until people started dragging brb into their personal disputes.

 

I'll happily sit back as much as I can.

I've no great desire to be the mod on here, so if people moderate themselves, and prove to brb a mod isn't needed, he can drop the mod thing and we'll all be happy.
