Wilson looks like he has a bright future ahead of him. Really made things tick for us today. Very impressed with Larsson who was very industrious in midfield. Like others have said, we're starting to look like a competent Championship and it's a shame that it'll be disrupted again over the summer.
Listening to the post match interview, I just wonder if Adkins is waiting for the season to finish to decide who he wants to keep and who he is happy to let go. He obviously likes Clark, so I can see him being offered a deal. Moses I'm not sure about, that's going to be decided by his fitness. Hernandez he'd obviously like to keep and it does sound like Hernandez would stay if offered a deal, but the 'cut the cloth accordingly' line would probably see him leave. Ditto Dawson. He obviously doesn't rate Meyler or Diomande, so they're gone. Larsson he's already said he'd like to keep, that's probably up to the player. With Dawson, Meyler and Diomande leaving, there's enough money there to cobble together a Hernandez package I would have thought.
Hernandez and Larsson need to be kept. Get Wilson back for a full season on loan too. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Aina come back. Henriksen has improved massively under Adkins. He broke up their play a lot today.
The chances of keeping Hernandez are lower than the chances of us winning the Second World War after being evicted from France in 1940. He will have good clubs and good wages on offer at a good standard. Never mind what we offer him the only way he would stay would be if we had serious plans and funds available for next season which we don't. And, if he did want to stay in England, even if no prem club offered him a deal, fat Bruce would and he'd be gone to Villa. He's already gone.
Clark played very well today , I don't know why some of our fans have to **** on a young player who has been thrown in the deep end this season
Best get used to it because there will be a whole load of kids learning to swim in the deep end next season.
Are you suggesting that our only way of keeping him then will be from an American takeover and a big Russian sacrifice?
I criticised Adkins and his appointment, last few games he has proved me wrong and well done to him. He get's my backing despite some strange selections now and again. Not a chance we will keep Hernandez next year he will get a much better deal elsewhere, I do feel if we had him all year we would be much higher up the table.
