We are up, we have to be now. No way is the team in 17th going to end the season with 39 points this time around.

Mate, more than that - there's no way on Earth we're getting NO more points between now and the end of the season!!

Party night tonight as far as I'm concerned, Toon are safe. On to the takeover, though I have to give my heartfelt thanks to Mike and Lee for loaning us Kenedy, which is clearly the only reason we won today and nowt to do with Benitez.

Those were the most perfect set of results in the Premier League today.

Think you forgot to credit the Slimani loan as well, which is clearly the only reason Rafa had a system to beat Leicester

Rafa's damned profligacy with all those many, many millions nearly cost us today, but Slimani's presence did indeed unsettle Leicester.

Takes us above Watford. Their spending has been £72m, £63m and £64m over the last 3 years. Net spend, a pointless statistic mind, is somewhere around £100m. Praise be our glorious owner for not allowing the demons of capitalism take hold of his soul.

Cannot believe today. I gave up drink two days ago.

Am a wee bit fiddly again but for a good reason.

So ****ing proud of the team and Rafa.

It’s bastard cold in Consett but I’m burning up with sunstroke.

Thought Shelvey was excellent today. Probably MOM. Kenedy was good too. And Lejeune. And Diame. Okay, okay, they were all good.

You seem to be under the misguided assumption that I care about what you think about me. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Very quietly Rafa has done an amazing job since the turn of the year - and to be fair the players deserve a great deal of praise too. We didn't exactly have a great January, but even with that, we are lying in 5th place in the 2018 table. Only the current top four have picked up more points in the league since New Year.

    He does.

I’ve seen the pics he has of you.

They are all in pink fluffy heart shaped frames.

Pretty sweet results in the Champ too, I do love Sunderland getting filled with false hope then reality crashing down on them by the end of the game.

Didn't attend match today, but comfortably beating Leicester away and them only pulling one back towards the end is a remarkable achievement considering they're much better than us man for man.

We looked brilliant mate and, aside from Vardy's goal, Leicester had sweet FA to get excited about other than the potential penalty. That Diame-Shelvey combo has been the final piece in the jigsaw for me, totally improved the defence and attack.
