Last time out Sunderland lost at home to Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds lost at Fulham.
Sunderland missed an opportunity to make up ground on their relegation rivals after a poor defensive display at the Stadium of Light. Lamine Kone is available after recovering from injury, whilst Oviedo and Galloway didn’t complete training today and will be assessed tomorrow (Friday).
Leeds were overpowered by a rampant Fulham side who are looking to grab an automatic promotion place.
    Chris Coleman:
“We can easily sit and think that it's one thing after another, but we have to dust ourselves down. Eight points is a lot with six games to play, but it's been done before and we have to keep doing what we've done in the last two games.”
“We have to play at Elland Road on Saturday, a great place to play and Leeds are a big club to play against. On Monday, the fans clapped the Lads off because they gave a lot, and we have to give everything again on Saturday.”
“Lamine Kone trained today and has had a good recovery from the weekend, so his chances (for Saturday) should be okay.”
We have got to go into every game to try and win it. We have got to go and win the game at Leeds. Coming back from Elland Road with a draw we will be disappointed.”
    Paul Heckingbottom:
“We know that they’ve got good players. On their day they can be really dangerous, but they’ve just not shown it every week.”
“Bolton and Fulham were both scrapping for points for different reasons and we’re expecting exactly the same.”
“They’ll approach the game the way that they did against Derby. We’ll focus on our approach, just as we did against Bolton, and be on the front foot.”
    Form:

    Match facts:
    • Leeds have not faced Sunderland at Elland Road since September 2006, losing 3-0 in a Championship fixture under manager Kevin Blackwell.
    • Since a run of 21 away league matches at Elland Road without winning between January 1962 and April 2002, the Black Cats have won each of their last three without conceding a goal.
    • Sunderland are looking to win consecutive away league games for the first time since May 2014, when they beat Chelsea and Manchester United.
    • Sunderland have won more points on the road this season (19) than they have at the Stadium of Light (12).
    • Paul Heckingbottom has already beaten Sunderland twice this season, both with Barnsley. The last manager to beat Sunderland three times in a season was Manuel Pellegrini in 2015-16.
    • No Leeds player has missed more 'big chances' in the Championship this season than Caleb Ekuban (6), with Ekuban missing five in his last three appearances.

    Forgotten: Rodwell, Gibson

Leeds United: Peacock-Farrell, Dallas, Jansson, Anita, Berardi, O'Kane, Vieira, Alioski, Sáiz, Hernández, Ekuban
Substitutes: Lonergan, Lasogga, Grot, Cibicki, Phillips, Pearce
    Injured: Ayling, Cooper, Pennington

    Betting Odds:
    H 19/20 A 3/1 D 12/5

    My two pence:
Six games to go and we need at least 4 wins, it’s still possible with Norwich, Reading and Burton to play. Leeds have lost a lot of their early season momentum, and 3 precious points here would be a big boost going into the next three must win games.

My guess is a 1-2 win.

    Ha’way the Lads

Our only hope is we seem to be a bit better away from the pressure of the SOL.
Another performance like Derby is essential as is three points we are definitely in the last chance saloon.

The term cockney has had several distinct geographical, social, and linguistic associations. Originally a pejorative term applied to all city-dwellers, it was gradually restricted to Londoners and particularly to "Bow-bell Cockneys" - those born within earshot of Bow Bells, the bells of St Mary-le-Bow in the Cheapside district of the City of London. It eventually came to be used to refer to those in London's East End, or to all working-class Londoners generally.

Have a feeling we'll win this one but Brum will beat Burton.

We'll then do our usual trick and lose at home to Norwich.

Just what I was thinking - 2 wins while Reading (probably the ones to aim for as Brum will likely beat Burton today) fail to win in 2 - then its up for grabs at Reading next sat.
We have resigned ourselves to going down, but it wouldn’t be our SAFC if they didn’t keep prolonging a bit of hope !

Godammit I was all set with my new PS4 game to sit and chill for a while, checking the score occasionally, then someone has to put up a high quality stream which I therefore have to watch instead.

Even game so far, good save from Camp and Fletcher hit the bar with a header.

Love and McNair, wrriten off, even slagged off by some sections of our fan base. I've always seen something in them both. They've been the two best players on the pitch imo, lovely link up there for the goal. Those two lads deserve that.

They're good players imo, just been unlucky with injuries, a sustained spell of fitness will really see them come on.
