Karius doesn't need resting.

VVD and Lovren are our only available CBs so they have to play

Klavan is injured, it'll be Moreno

Hendo is suspended for the second leg vs Man City so may as well play.

Milner, Wijnaldum and Oxlade are our only other available CMs. Make sense to rest Oxlade although I suspect he'll come off the bench.

Resting Firmino and Salah is injured so who pays instead of Mane?

 

If the right XI then it'll be a change of system to three at the back. Clyne and Milner as wingbacks.

 

Never thought I'd say this, but I'd be inclined to play Moreno in this one. Further forward, and just let him chase anyone who has the ball. He's good at that.

Moreno is so frustrating, he plays the odd blinder and then.. disaster.

 

Yep, with Salah out I'd put Moreno at LW and move Mane to the right. Keep the pace up top.

Maybe Klopp is anticipating a parked bus where pace wouldn't be of great use though

tbh I'd rather Salah was on the bench for this, to come on if needed, if he makes the cut. He's critical for City away, critical!

 

We dropped really deep as soon as Salah went off on Wednesday. Was it is dropping deep or was it Man City pushing us back? They're back line pushed right up once he'd gone off.

 

really surprised Moreno apparently isn't starting , is he being prepared for Tuesday ?

Looks like we are resting a lot of players for this game, but still going with experience. This sneak peek at our starting 11 suggests they should match Everton for pace.
