The bells were ringing out following our splendid Sunday victory,
so it reminded me of a nursery rhyme, with the innocent stuff about bells
and then the sudden violent ending (what's all that about!?)!!!
Thought you might not enjoy the sweety nursery version too much,
so I'm also posting a brief explanation of the words, and
a second version which I recall from a few years back, from Eric Delaney.
And two versions of the re-write for good measure.

And we’ve nearly done our penance.
My knees are getting trembly.
