Now i know most of us don't have a lot of time for RL but i was thinking if it wasn't for him and Michael Wilde cocking up and administration we would not be in the good position we are in now. Not only that they also refused to sell their shares to the lot that own Coventry City. Those two things are probably the best things they did for us. Rupert Lowe = Hero lol
Thats like that guy who has a near death motorbike accident, but then they discover a brain tumour & prolong his life. I can't consider it good fortune I'm afraid.
Rupert Lowe in his ignorance nearly did for this club..........In the first place it was a reverse take over. It was sold as venture to increase the capacity of the club to be able to attract larger investors. An allocation of public shares and its launch on to the financial stocks and shares market was meant to bring in the much needed capital. It only brought in a limited amount. The promised large investors never materialised ever. Because we were on the stock market it made it difficult to sell the club as a going concern without investment it became clear we were going down hill fast. His insistence on dealing with transfer matters with out consulting the Manager was a prime example of his incompetence. He would not take advice it would seem from people there to assist him the rest is History. Was it worth the final misery to be rid of him and to get a new owner...you could argue yes with hindsight. The reality though was that it could have gone the way of our near neighbors....we were just lucky they were not...So no he will never be a hero to me no matter how you spell it out!!
If it hadn't been for Adolf Hitler, we would never have been in the position to win WW2. I therefore propose giving him a statue outside parliament, next to Winston Churchill's. And Lowe can have one next to Ted Bates' outside St Marys.
We came out of it well - eventually. That doesn't alter the fact that Lowe and cronies nearly killed off the club. Lowe is no hero.
I wonder what he is doing now. I thought I seen him last week lying in a pool of his own piss eating a bag of brannigans. Maybe it was a dream?
I've sworn to myself that if I'm ever diagnosed with something terminal, I'll take Lowe down before I'm gone.
Yes, Rupert is a Hero.....sorry, I mistyped that...Rupert is a Herod. Not sure if he actually ordered the slaughter of the first-born, but I think it's very likely...........
Come on guys be fair to the bloke. I read in the papers that he created our youth system because until he arrived we hadn't produced any talented players!
Any man who regularly wears a tweed jacket - particularly to the football - automatically qualifies for douche status.
