    @lardiman

    Are you afflicted by a full moon today ?

    What else can justify your inexplicable return to Into Roland’s Arse ?

    You were on the brink of being crowned a Mod on here....you’ve thrown it all away to discuss Sqwarka with Seriously Boring & Mundane Mundell <doh>

    Jeddez must have spat out his Werthers Original tonight when he saw you back on there.

    Seeing you mix it with brain dead Wiggy and andy ,,,,,,,,,, - it’s like seeing a vintage Jag parked alongside half a dozen Reliant Robins.

    Lardi has crossed the floor of the House :emoticon-0108-speec

    But this is like defecting from UKIP to the Green Party.

    Lardi has transformed from Nigel Farage to Caroline Lucas <confused>

    If I can get a word in edgeways?

    I can see how my recent activities might have folks thinking that I have suddenly become a turncoat apologist, though I think you are over-stating your case slightly.
    I'll try to explain myself in a moment or two.

    Your defection has come as a great shock to me Lardi. I’d be less horrified if my own sons voted Labour or shopped in Primark.

    Imagine Ivor’s ecstasy tonight when he gets back from another hard day begging outside the off licence.

    He’s finally got a serious poster back on Into Richards Botty.

    Lardi is within his rights to post on any forums he wishes and should do so without fear of persecution, this is a Charlton Athletic forum NOT the Labour Party.

    Although sometimes it seems more like the Conservative Party, going by the political contributions.

    First up: an open question for everybody.

    When was the last time you went to watch a Charlton game and felt really properly 100% unreservedly happy at the end of it?

    Some fans might say it was the last time they saw the team win (Monday).
    Other fans might say it was the last game they saw before Duchatelet took over, or maybe the last time we won before he took over (Boxing Day 2013, we beat Brighton 3-2 at the Valley).

    For me it was probably 22nd February 2014, when we beat QPR 1-0.
    Our last home game before Chris Powell was sacked.

    Now, Charlton have won about 50 league games since then. I was probably at 30 or so of them (the home ones) but I can honestly say I have never again felt the kind of happiness I used to feel. Sometimes I'll confess I have felt nothing at all. Other times I have felt OK, it's good to win a game but looking at the bigger picture it means nothing really, as the team is in long term decline.

    Ask yourself then, who was responsible for me feeling that way? Who was it that made me walk away from the Valley after seeing Charlton win a match, and feel nothing more than a sense that it did not really matter?

    Was it Roland Duchatelet? Was it Katrien Meire?
    No. Not unless one of them has some kind of mind control powers.
    It was me.

    I have denied myself the entire point of being a football fan for the last four years.
    What was I thinking?

    PS:
    Just for the record, here is a list of things I have not said in the last few days and am not saying now;
    • The protests were wrong, or that any fan is making a mistake by protesting or boycotting.
    • That the non-protesting fans (apologists if you will) were right.
    • That any other Charlton fan should have done anything else other than what they have done.
    • Anything about Duchatelet and his regime, good or bad.
    This is about me and the way I feel.
    I want Lee Bowyer to lead us to the play-off finals and back to the Championship more than anything.
    Nothing else matters to me - not the take-over, or any of the infinite possible futures that follow from it.

    I should have felt the same way about Karl Robinson and Russell Slade when they were trying to achieve the same thing.
    The same way I felt when Chris Powell achieved it.

    My cynicism and my lack of faith, my inability to enjoy watching 11 men wearing our shirt winning a football match - I did all that to myself.
    And I have the power to let it go.

    Duchatelet and squirrel face have been solely responsible for the thousands staying away, you included in my opinion.

    Stay away Mr Lardiman, don't line Duchatelet's pockets.

    @lardiman

    You’ll be used on ITTV. You are giving them a veneer of respectability. It’s the equivalent of Ken Livingstone keep appearing on Russia Today.

    Mate you appear to be having some sort of breakdown. I know it helps to be a drama queen to follow charlton but you are over analysing things.
    Lighten up... it’s only football.

    You really are a complete prat most of the time. Only happy when causing grief.. it’s time real charlton fans called you out...
    You are anti everything charlton, owners, managers, players to other fans you don’t give a feck..
    I suspect deep down you are a shammer or a wally.
