    Disgusting behaviour here.

    UEFA will hit them hard.

I'm sure I saw Jamie Carragher in that baying crowd...

it makes you wonder why no one was arrested for using pyrotechnics in a public place
Police just seemed to watch it all go by even when it was in front of them

it looked like a state organised rally against Man City
something that you would see in China

Given their history, is anyone surprised? Trust the scousers to bring down English football once again on the European stage.

that's shocking like. they need to be banned from having fans at the return leg and possibly beyond at the very least !. I'd throw them out of the competition to be perfectly honest.

    Liverpool rather than Scouse?

Everton / Tranmere etc will surely want to distance themselves from such 'behaviour' :emoticon-0145-shake

As bad as it was on it's own...when you read stuff like this it just adds to the whole debacle. Fair play to the Man City medical staff.

Even if those involved read this it still won't change their mentality ! Alan Partridge sums them up nicely here :-

Am I the only one who thinks it wasn't *that* bad? The flares and the booing created an amazing hostile atmosphere for the opposition players - like entering the gates of hell. Throwing things at the bus inevitably took it too far, but there are always a few idiots in every crowd and it's not like Dubai can't afford a few new windows for a bus. Nobody on board was hurt after all.

It was probably through good luck that no one was hurt. It must have been liking driving through Pennywell on a night time, bottles flying everywhere.

The main thing for me was the missiles (bottles/cans/bricks/stones?) and the apparent number of them given the "thuds" on the bus as it traveled through the crowd. Don't know for certain they were missiles but there was a definitely a good number of missiles which you could actually see on the video.

Yes, create an hostile atmosphere but this just took it way over the acceptable line. To deter that I would kick Liverpool out of the competition. Some may think that is an over the top response but it has to act as a deterrent to others.

Would also be interested to know whether anything similar has occurred abroad previously as there probably has and any action against Liverpool has to be in correlation to any action taken against other Clubs, if any, abroad in regard to similar incidents.

This happens in Turkey all the time and it’s rare that UEFA do anything about it.
As soon as it’s an English club the ban hammer comes out.

Was just going to say something along these lines but with the opposite conitation that nothing will be done as nothing ever happens in Russia or Turkey when the racism and violence starts up (on what seems like a monthly basis)

Fairly timid really. Still a bit unsavoury in this day and age. As you say at least no one was hurt unlike those UFC fighters...

Throwing missiles was completely out of order and they should throw the book at the individuals concerned. To me, it would be an over reaction to throw Liverpool out of the competition when far far worse happens regularly elsewhere in Europe and nothing gets done. The club should be fined, possibly even have away fans banned from the return leg (or semi if it is too late for that). However, I think it would be unfair on the club and the vast majority of well behaved fans for it to be any more. Was it any worse than some of our so-called 'fans' trashing our own city centre and punching horses?? Not sure we'd have been too happy at a points reduction for that.

If bans or points deductions were dished out or at least threatened against all fans of all clubs then maybe it will stop some of our mop haired drainpipe wearing, shandy drinking virgin pricks from causing bother. It would allow fans to self regulate.

I don't think many of those causing trouble that day had much interest in the well-being of our club. They were just little ****s out to cause trouble regardless. You get them everywhere sadly.

The sad thing is, a lot of those little cock wipes will actually be ST holders as I see them at away games.

You can't hit the team/club with this really. Otherwise what is to stop Man U fans (for instance) dressing up in City tops and trying to get their team a points deduction or kicked out of a competition.
