What appears to have happened is that Quentin is now rather alarmed by the distinct possibiliy of Arsenal winning yet more silverware (the Europey) whilst Spurs need to beat both United and probably Chelsea to eclipse that; should it happen

Quentin is therefore attempting to diffuse that possibility by claiming that the 'consolidation cup' is a greater achievement

Spurs have been 'consolidating' for the last 50 years ffs!
