    Happy 68th Birthday to Swedish Singer, Songwriter and Record Producer, Agnetha Fältskog, most famously of ABBA and a Solo career. I have grown up with her singing and have always loved it.

    Nobody does melancholic break up songs like Agnetha!....

    Britain's answer to Phil Spector in the early 60's, Record Producer, Sound Engineer and Songwriter, Joe Meek was born on this day in Newent, Gloucestershire in 1929.

    In 2014, Meek was ranked the greatest producer of all time by NME, elaborating: "Meek was a complete trailblazer, attempting endless new ideas in his search for the perfect sound. ... The legacy of his endless experimentation is writ large over most of your favourite music today."

    Thought the song sounded familiar, turns out that one of my favourite songs Knights of Cydonia by Muse was inspired by The Tornados song Telstar.
    Also didn't realise that Matt Bellamy's dad was the rhythm guitarist for The Tornados too.

    Only one notable music Birthday today but it one of my personal favourites that celebrates turning 53. Alternative Rock Singer/Songwriter and Musician, Black Francis of Boston band, Pixies was born Charles Thompson IV in Boston in 1965. He is one of the most interesting and original Songwriters of the past 30 years IMHO..

    (I'm posting songs that haven't previously been put on here)
