This bloke was right after all then. https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2018/04/the-poison-in-our-body-politic/
ZZZZZZZZZZZZ Another anti-government stance. JC is an idiot who has blown any chance of being PM, which by the way is a result for our country. The government knows it is Russia as do all the nations that have expelled the diplomats. What amazes me is some of the 'lefty mob' wouldn't accept it was Russia without proof, now they are blaming our government (without proof)? Same old lefty lot.
What amazes me is your inability to think critically and your loyalty to the misinformers. At the very least, why are you not confused by the errors made by Johnson and May? Why do you make the leap that if anyone voices ligitimate concern at the apparent lies and consequent diplomatic action taken by the people who are supposed to lead by example, that person is a left wing corbyn supporter? Although you're told to identify on a right-left scale, you can reject it in favour of something that might actually work. I don't personally align with any of these parliamentary muppets, but Corbyn is the only one who urged caution and he was jeered for it.
TBH Woody I read a lot and look at both sides of an argument. It does amaze me though that when I go against or for something I am told I don't 'think critically', which is wide of the mark. Just like with the Brexit debate, If I say something the usual 'remoaners' jump at my every post. Thing is, I can't be that stupid as looking back over some of my posts I have been spot on. Sadly now this assassination attempt has gone from a crime to some sort of conspiracy theory (which it is not). I would always believe May or Johnson over Putin any day. To think that some people believe this is some sort of government cover-up is preposterous. As for Corbyn, the bloke has a history of supporting wrong-uns and going against the government. There is a dark, nasty side to him which has been coming out recently. If people want to support him then good luck with that.
I said earlier today, and I repeat, the conversations and debates we have on here are healthy and valuable. It's natural that we won't all agree on all sorts of things, whilst provoking emotion. Amazement is fine, it's good to feel feelings. I apologise for the slightly direct comment above. That said, it's too easy to offer 2 schools of thought, 'believe what you're told' or 'be a conspiracy theorist'. Of course, it might have been Russia, but with the info currently available, it could equally have been others. We don't know. The original offering was that 'it could only have been Russia, no other plausible option'. 'How do you you know, Boris?' 'Because the guy at porton down told me, personally.' They now tell us that cannot be assumed, following 2 weeks of investigation. So what's going on then? What are you doing Boris? Perfectly fair and legitimate question. It strikes me, and has done throughout this event, that I feel so resentful towards these people, all of them, these leaders of areas of land and its inhabitants. 99% of us just want to live an honest, loving, enjoyable existence in a safe environment, without suffering the consequences of their behavioural issues. We don't have problems with each other. It's ****ing nuts. Incidentally, the BBC continue to only talk about violent crime in London, all day yesterday, all day today, with a bit of other comical crap thrown in. The current 10pm phone in, whilst offering a platform to speak about the skripal case, has been exclusively about knife crime, not one other voice. Important topic, absolutely, but I phoned to speak about Boris etc, waited for the call, but I've not been called back. First time ever. They don't seem to want to address it.
That's the bit I'm confused about. You have already given them the benefit of the doubt and even in this situation they have appeared to lie or at least misinform with the evidence that they went public with. How can you still choose to believe them outright (even if you think it is the Russians) when they have openly lied and been shot down by our own boys
Just reading that Ube ris replacing Ambulances in the US. That get there quicker. Reports say Ambulance use declines 7% when Uber hits there cities!!! Someone on here will be pissed!
Boris is a bafoon. The biggest clown in politics I've ever witnessed. The whole thing stinks of corruption to be honest. Are the Russians really that daft (if guilty) for the evidence to point right at them or was it easier for someone else to manufacture the blame route. It's got to be treated like any other crime. Evidence , proof and guilt. Not bloody Boris acting as Poirot
Seems to be the case DT. All he did was air caution over presumptions and gets it from all angles for doing so. Bizarre how some people's thinking process imagines that to be a wrong thing to say.
The Times claiming today that security services now know the source ( a laboratory in Russia) of the nerve agent used to poison Sergei Skripal and his daughter. The paper says the UK knew about the lab where the novichok chemical was made before the attack on 4 March. It also reports officials believe Russia carried out tests to see if the substance could be used in assassinations. Russia has previously passed a law making it legal for the state to execute Russian citizens overseas.
Interesting development. The only conclusion I'll draw here is that it is a useless assassination method. 2 attempts, 1 bystander, 0% success. We wait with interest.
What Russia is about, is creating a deterrent to other would be "traitors" among members of their intelligence services. Russia does not need to kill to establish a deterrent. Making a man a human vegetable, or forced into a life of living hell having been poisoned by a nerve agent, is in many ways more effective than a simple execution. And novichok is the Russian state's calling card. Potential double agents will be aware now that if they defect, they can be plunged into a life of torture, just by opening their front door which has been infected with the nerve agent.
That doesn't make sense though, does it? If that was the case, all they had to do was to give a sample to the OPCW immediately and tell them where the lab is. Why make up a story about Porton Down confirming the source of the nerve agent when they knew they couldn't? The thing is Goldie, most people (including me) would agree that Russia is much the most likely source of the poison, but we expect our government to be able to convince us that they are not just jumping to conclusions. Johnson's lying (and the experience of WMDs) just sow more doubt.
The reason may be due to the fact that the UK government is reluctant to show its hand to Russia on what it knows about novichok and the Russia-link, which could compromise its sources (ie lead to information sources in Russia - possibly double agents - being exposed). It was thus easier for Johnson to attribute what the UK Govt knew about the Russian link to Porton Down - but that part backfired when PD said that detail was beyond its pay grade. I believe what we are seeing in The Times report, is the UK government leaking out more information to cover Johnson's ham-fisted interview. I agree with your second paragraph, Strolls. Chemical agent experts being interviewed by Sky, etc, today are saying that the UK government definitely knows a lot more than it's disclosing to the British public. The Russian ambassador to the UK (a grinning, obsequious creep who has been trolling the UK govt on Twitter comparing it to Inspector Poirot) stated at a press conference at lunchtime today that the majority of the British people believe Russia and not their own government. The UK government has to make a decision now, balancing the benefits of being more open with the populace, as against the compromise to sources (above)
If it takes the time wasters out the system and leaves the ones who are really in need to be looked after, then I’m well up for that
I honestly think the theatre of this affair is disgraceful just because it happened on U.K. soil... it’s a PR event gone wayward to try and manufacture news from nothing With the other stuff going on in the world only the U.K. can come out of this looking completely stupid yet again There is no scope for any argument imo when the U.K. profits from making things to kill people worldwide and this never makes news its complete hypocrisy imo May and the idiots around her focus on doing you job re Brexit Boris Johnson I cannot understand how this bloke makes a living he is a complete idiot and should have no place in any power house. He represents everything that is wrong with British politics and what makes it worse is that tossers actually suck it all in
Might not agree on football matters DT but I agree with everything there. How that man is in such an important position is totally beyond me. He is an absolute joke
Footballing matters are all that matters You will come around and support our man in the end. He maybe nuts but I like what he has built at QPR and sincerely hope he stays We could even push on next season in this division at that’s also nuts ... watched Millwall match recently how they have got up the league is way beyond any football tactics They are there however with spirit and we are growing in the same way imo Need stability 100%
