Your comment ''requested by who?'' suggested that you doubted the police wanted it publicised or why ask.

No, Astro said LFC were requested to publish it, I knew the police had Liverpool then followed suit

Whatever, it was dumb ****ing decision by the Police to publish the revised route of the visiting team bus ffs and their logic is baffling in its idiocy.

The route was changed for both buses. LFC arrived on time. City came late then Pep had a pathetic strop at the police.

TBF the City players seemed to laugh it off but seeing Pep in such a state might have dented their confidence.

I actually think Pep handled it very well. He even thanked Klopp for the apology pre-game.

I can’t imagine Klopp or you for that matter would have been pleased with the entire scenario had that have happened at the Etihad. The whole thing was ridiculous and instead of saying the route had changed the coppers would have been better served saying any act of violence would be treated with zero tolerance and result in football banning orders.

If we go through, our next home game is it going to be closed door?. That's going to be harsh.

Decision or punishment on this isn't until after final has taken place dribs.

    Won't effect games before then

I've watched 3 or 4 Youtubes now of the city bus arriving and honestly, there's so much red smoke it will be very difficult to identify any culprits. Also there's very few missiles being thrown - not trying to excuse anyone here as it's inexcusable. The club and police have asked anybody with phone footage to send it anonymously so hopefully some will have their bans coming.

Liverpool can and will ban the culprits. UEFA seem to pick a punishment out of a hat for each offence so who knows. The difference is LFC's action will punish the guilty, UEFA will punish the innocent along with the guilty.

    look on the bus thing.

    1. route was published by club so club will have to answer for that.

    2. official fan zone was in effect. club will have to answer for it.

    3. eggs thrown. we don't walk round with eggs normally. so preplanned so a big issue for fans groups.

    4. bottles thrown. ignorant drunken act. should.be arrested and charged.

    5. nasty one finger ****e with kids etc around. well just plain bad manners and bad image.

at minimum the club will have a fine to pay. we will never be allowed have fan zones near bus routes again.

so the idiots who couldn't stick to singing and such and had to get nasty let everyone else down.

the club will have to answer for publicising the route of the bus after it was changed. I pointed this out pregame on this thread.

    fine will be large imo

That's assuming they are match going fans.

What if it's some who can't get tickets?

Being banned is hardly a punishment for something they can't go to anyway.

maybe the police didn't have resources to police a big crowd in both routes and wanted one to disperse and felt they could control it.

    i dunno.

No they won't. It was co-published with the police. They have a special twitter handle - MerPol Liverpool FC - which they use to publish stuff for every game <ok>

please log in to view this image

    MerPol Liverpool FC @MerPolLFC

@LFC v MCFC. Supporters are advised the team coaches are not taking their usual route past the King Harry pub. Due to building works and to ensure the safety of fans, they will instead travel along Arkles Lane, passing The Arkles pub before turning right onto Anfield Road.

I can't see that happening tbh. The route to the stadium is well known and fans always gather for the buses coming in, altering the route and not publicising it wouldn't have stopped fans gathering as there's only so many different routes it could be, all ending in Anfield Road.
