Actually, we took pelters for that for years. According to the press, we were 'hooligans', 'vandals', and in some publications, 'evil master criminals'. And yet it was a peaceful pitch invasion. No-one got a bigger surprise when the crossbar broke than the guys sitting on it. Prolly all pished themselves. Literally, given the amount of booze you could smuggle in in those days.

And when the engerland 'fans' had their 'moments', the same publications reported them being 'boistrous', 'frisky', and 'playful', despite the injuries & arrests..
