Well boys, girls and Chaps, its that time of the week when Bib’s,Bob’s, Bof’s and make believe Newcastle fans, that’s you Chaps, blend into one, followers, fans, supporters and deluded fools known as Sunderland supporters.

We can only hope that we all shout bloody great around 2.15 when the team is announced thus putting off civil war until at least kick off.

We dream of rejoicing during a first half that sees our well oiled machine produce football we dream of and goals to savour, to Sunderland of course.

We will spend the half time break saying this is us, the real Sunderland, Bruce must stay for life.

The second half will see an even greater effort with the man they call Ji coming on to mark his arrival as a Sunderland goal scoring legend in the making.

A further goal or two will round off an excellent day leaving those still sober to spend the evening joining the record breaking Bruce In Thread with even the visiting Newcastle fans, not you Chaps you are now ours, saying how they admit defeat, we surely are the north east premier team.

Or of course we may lose and all hell will break out.

    Enjoy your day.

I don't feel very optimistic about today's game however, at 4.45pm the optimism levels may have been given a long overdue boost and we may be talking about Europe again! <laugh>

I think the fact it is an away game will help - I am optimistic that the lads will get a result.

With all this talk of hurricanes in New York lets hope that hurricane Sess helps Sunderland storm to victory!

I'm very optimistic about this one, Swansea have had an even worse start to the season than us.
    0-3.

Hope Bruce has the players well up for this and picks a team that looks like it can go out and win a game of football. A win today is vital not just n terms of points but I think it could play a factor in potentially getting these two signings through the door.

    Haway the lads!!!

All comes down to the side we put out. If we put out a balanced team I believe we will win the game and all will be rosy in the garden.

Off to watch my nephew play rugby for Blaydon at Barking today so will only have my phone for updates, normally lucky for us if I can't watch or listen to the game.

Agreed Wease, we have the players to win the game, it all depends on whats going on in Bruces head. Does he go for the unthinkable and send out a team including strikers and players in positions where they get the ball to them, or does he carry on where he left off at Brighton.

Thing is though I think Bruce is oblivious to how ludicrous that team selection was at Brighton, I still haven't heard an explanation. If he plays no.strikers today I think the men in white coats will be after him

It'll be a race between the men in white coats and us fans as to who gets to him first.

My worry is that football managers are bull-headed at the best of times. They don't like to admit mistakes. Even when everyone else can see it just isn't working...a football manager will bury his head in the sand and continue with their own selections and tactics.
