Back in those heady days of the 90s, I’d just look at May and say...”Win three games in May and we’ll stay up.” *looks now and gulps
https://uk.yahoo.com/news/pensioner...-stabbed-death-london-burglary-105559142.html This thread seems to have turned into a football one. Just posting the above about an elderly man being charged with murder after a burglar armed with a screwdriver was killed. Another burglar was also present. I'm presuming that this is a formality and the charge is dropped later (if facts are as reported). Whilst I wouldn't condone chasing after a burglar and killing him when you were not in any danger, I would understand and support anyone defending their home and probably afraid.
Hero. Hopefully someone starts a go-fund account for him so he gets a holiday after the case is dropped.
As you all probably know I am ½ Italian and ½ Indian. Last night I made a Bolognese that would have made my late Mother proud. In fact I was tortellini in love with it Tonight I have just made the best lamb curry with pilau rice that would have made my late Grandmother proud. It would be enough to send you in to a Korma for weeks I can not think of a better gene combination to have for cooking
Yep that is about the only thing I agree with the US. If you break in to a house in the US apparently you are fair game. Although the burglar would probably have a gun anyway.
So the blowing of my own trumpet for my cooking was premature. Cooking a roast chicken for the doggies (Yep, a M&S roast chicken at that!), I seasoned it with a bit of rosemary and garlic like they like it, but left the paper on the bottom that is there to soak up the blood in the packet. Thought there was a funny smell in the oven. Sorry dogs.
Be careful with the garlic it's toxic for dogs. https://www.pdsa.org.uk/taking-care...et/all-pets/poisons-and-hazards-for-your-pets
I never knew that. I will defo stop using it - Normally I cook a chicken and I have half they have the other. Tonight they were getting the whole lot...until the paper incident. They are having the defrosted raw dog food from the vets now tonight Poor things.
Some websites say they can have a small amount, whatever that means. My bunch (2 cats and 1 dog) get cooked chicken as a treat sometimes. I just look round and they are sat neatly in a row waiting and then they all disappear - cupboard love.
What was wrong with the paper on the chicken? Have you seen what dogs will eat voluntarily. Or did it include plastic? I cooked my first turkey with a plastic bag of giblets inside....all the family are still here forty years later.
Anyone else see the Patrick Kielty program about Northern Ireland? Very moving and fascinating. I hadn’t realised his father was murdered in 1988. I have to admire the way he has dealt with it and his views on the people who did it, who were released under the Good Friday Agreement Worth a watch.
My dogs (see avatar) smell it and then bother me in the kitchen. They get it 3-4 times a week, then turn their nose up at the vet dog food lol. The dog on the right (Daisy) gives me those eyes and I put a chicken in the oven for her Yep it had plastic on it too waste of a chicken, but part of the M&S meal deal so the wine was ok
