He was only saying yesterday that Spurs need to stick to their strict wage structure even though they've turned a £309m profit and they play their players peanuts. Hasn't stopped him lining his own pockets though. The spud fans will still kiss his arse though, despite winning **** all and hiring and firing 12 managers, he can do no wrong in their eyes.
Chocolate messiah.

He won’t get away with forever. There’s already a bucket load of Twatter comment from disgruntled Spurs fans, saying if Levy can pay himself £6mill he can pay to keep Toby, etc...

Shock horror, chairman of football club is highest paid person at club.

Our Chairman doesn't draw a salary ... he sees his role as a labour of love. He is giving 60 season tickets away to fans on Saturday to celebrate his birthday. He's a very nice man. <cheers>

Levy is a grabbing Cnut <laugh>

I've just read something on SSN, Antonio Conte won't say 'I told you so'. Waffling about how he's not happy with the transfers and how that's how Chelsea have ended up where they are now.

So... he hounds out their best player, and we know this now, Costa was by far and away their best player but don't let that stop the happy clappers banging Kante's arse and tossing off to Hazard's 30% effort... and he blames the board for not supporting him... why would they?

The lad is a ****ing fruit bat, he needs to tuck his piles back in and stop being so butthurt, his legacy here is that of a moaning fanny pad who spat his dummy out because it wasn't put on a plate for him.

You joker Tel <laugh>.

Admittedly he's turned into a moaning Nancy but he's still got a good rep. 1 bad season doesn't ruin his 4 titles in a row.

His abilities have fallen off a cliff this year though he better buck up or I may start having pops

Levy needs to wind his neck in, he's not the one putting the ball in the net to make the club so profitable. He should be ashamed of himself.

To be fair most of them are paid less than the star players. Even levy til he made himself the star of the show

That to an extent still applies at Spurs. Levy may well now be on the highest basic salary per-week at £115k but the bonus schemes Spurs pay means the likes of Kane, Vertonghen and Lloris will likely earn a considerable amount more over the course of the season, Kane especially due to the amount of goals he scores.

There’s also been strong talk of a number of new contracts being put in place for the likes of Kane, Eriksen, Son, Alli and Vertonghen - Toby’s just rejected £130k - so chances are most of them will be earning more than him on basic alone within time anyway providing they commit.

How did 309m in revenues (and 42m odd profit after tax)
become 309m in profit ??

"Hasn't stopped him lining his own pockets though."

Do you think the board of all ltd companies would
block a director paying themselves 6m in a year where
work has been done by them to secure the funding etc for
a construction development project that is going to cost
at least 800m, and bring immense financial benefits
to the company ??

Was that done on a typewriter?

Dunno arsenal and united are far more profitable than spurs and gazidis is on around 2.5m and Woodward only received 2.5m in 2015(can't find out what he's been on recently).

Sounds like Levy's taking you boys for a ride. Those spurs players must be not pleased that he's on more than them

Hell even poch is paid less now and he's the architect of it all

According to the last Goon financial report, their
group profit before tax was only 2m more than
Spurs profit after tax.

It would seem Gazidis is being overpaid.

Not been a bad ride, severely lacked trophies but mid-table to regular European football whether that be EL or CL, new training ground, new stadium around the corner and a squad to be proud of, I can think of worse ways to go.

Yeah they must be livid, mate, imagine what it's like knowing your boss earns more than you?! :)

Haha it's fine that my boss earns more than me (depends which one my direct one probably does not) but in the footie world this is different

I would not be pleased to be earning less than my big boss when everyone else is the market isn't earning less especially when the big bosses mantra is that we should not be paying you guys market rate cause we can't afford it

We turn a significant profit and still pay our players the going rate. You're about to find out what it means to pay the wages of top players and pay for a new stadium. Levy's priorities seem clear though, double his own wages first before the squeeze starts <ok>

Nope. Their revenues are higher and the profits are far less because they spend much more money than spurs.

Now you could say he is doing terribly in keeping Wenger but I'm not sure that's gazidis but more kroenke.

Levy makes money for himself and Joe Lewis. They are ENIC and in it for personal profit. It's a slap in the face for the players though to hear that he's going to stick to their rigid wage structure, whilst awarding himself a 100% pay rise.
