Oh the Jakarta insinuations once more! I don't want Sunderland to go down but it does seem a very done deal. Last Friday was a glimmer of hope but the results that have followed have obliterated it and left minimal time to recover. It isn't on the cards, Sunderland are going down.

All we need now is for Birmingham, Bolton and Reading to each win one of their remaining games and the mackems will have to win four of their six games to avoid MExit II.

We'd have taken that at the start of the season <Glow Factor 7>

One of those three teams is going to falter over the next 6 games but it's unlikely to be Birmingham. They'll win at the weekend and finish the season on 45+.
Bolton look shot and Reading have been poor for a while, one of them is going to lose 3/4 of their last games but they will get to at least 41/42 points. Bolton play Barnsley, Burton and home to Notts Forest as three of their last four; Reading have 3 winnable home games including Sunderland (14th April).

Sunderland will finish around 38 points Leeds (A), Norwich (H), Reading (A), Burton (H), Fulham (A), Wolves (H). LWDWLL. Sadly the game against Burton will probably just be to decide who has the ignominy of finishing 24th.

SkyBet now have the Mackems at 25 to 1 on to be relegated. Ouch.

At this stage of the season it's all about points on the board. I've already gone for their fixture with Reading as the day they go down. It could be before that though.

All that laughing at us when we went down with Shearer in charge, the six in a row, the recent relegation... Oh we've got to enjoy this one lads. The Glow is going to make this happen!

Had to open a window as it’s that hot in here tonight! They are royally ****ed. I can see them scraping another 5 points max if they are really lucky. Their 2 relegations in a row trumps their 6 wins in a row against us by a country mile...I know what I’d rather have! I wonder if they think league one is a piss easy league to get out of as well!

Not really. 2 games away, all three of those teams on 39 points would need to win both of the next two games as even one of them getting 4 points in that time would stretch the gap to 12 (so no mathematical relegation) and that is IF Sunderland lost both those games.

Reading game is likely for mathematical relegation if Sunderland fail to win any of the next three games, otherwise (given Burton should be a Sunderland win) the Fulham away game is possible. Whatever, it's going to happen now and for tonight at least I'm done thinking about it.

At least Newcastle are starting to look safe (too soon?)
