Had the pleasure ( or not ) to meet Fat Fred personally, he wasn't a nice person.

 

Really the only sensible thing would be a sit in and refuse to leave until we get a explanation from Ashley himself on the clubs state

Funnily enough i've never understood the hero worship given to Barton. To me it was always obvious that he was a self serving manipulative mercenary who would lie through his back teeth if it suited. It is no satisfaction to be proven right (well at least I think I have ). The point is I held back from making my point too strongly because I accepted that there were other valid opinions, although it frustrated the hell out of me to hear him lauded so loudly and so often by so many fans.

 

Will that help though?

We tried big protests/boycotts and all that after Keegan left and it got us nowhere. Don't think Ashley cares about whether the fans are happy or not , like Joey Barton/Carroll/Nolan he only cares about money.

 

I don't agree with that, they just make us look like clowns on TV. If there is going to be a protest we should have a proper organised one like Liverpool did. I'm actually pleased I can't make it to the game now! The atmosphere is just going to be loads of Ashley out stuff.

Getting the police in is one of the reasons why I wouldn't want any trouble. Just make us look like hooligans and thugs and play into the hands of our detractors.

 

Aye I suppose peoples opinions just differ on everything. I'm the sort of person who has a strong opinion on everything, sometimes thats a good thing and sometimes it's a bad thing. It was never my intention to offend anyone it was just that I can't see how anyone could possibly justify ashleys actions.

 

Police wouldnt be involved in a violent way theyd have to ask for the fans to leave they cant throw 3000+ people out not got the man power.

 

Better than cause innocent people outside the ground to bother.

Doubt the people who organise these things actually set foot inside it

It's getting the people to stay back though. After a match people want to go and get a few pints and others want to get home. I would participate in something like this (not the Fulham game because I won't be there) but I can't see it bothering Ashley. It doesn't really do anything does it?

 

See thats it right there TJR. Some people talk but no action not pointed at you. But to the people whod rather go for a pint instead of fight for their club

 

Expats comment was good. Like he said nobody thinks the guy is perfect. I certainly don't. I try to judge each decision separately. I often back him up on financial threads, of which there have been a great deal lately, so I have a rep for being an "Ashley lover". In truth I am far from that but he hasn't in my opinion made a major error in a while so my recent comments have been mostly positive. I slagged him off big time over Hughton though, that was probably my most recent rant.

I just wish people could accept that because you agree with him on something doesn't mean you think he is great. If I think he has made a cock up I will be as loud as anybody in running him down.
