We are the voices of reason.

I think we should be given the chance as new moderators.

Can’t do any harm for a trial period til
    the end of the season.

Lardi for his statistical analysis, Elfs for his terrace passion.

@baraettmattesvensson could start with a match thread for Bristol Rovers as he will be there <cheers>

This is as good a thread as any to let everybody know that I won't be involving myself in politics of any kind from now on.
That includes the politics of Charlton Athletic.

My interest in the politics of the Club was not a long term thing. I was saddened by the events in the mid 1980's which led to our years of exile from the Valley but I did not get involved in any way. I was not attending games at the time, and I knew nothing about why things happened the way they did.

The politics began to interest me shortly after Roland Duchatelet bought the Club. When Chris Powell was sacked I was angry about that, which drew me again towards the politics and away from the football. When I went to the first home game of the 2014-15 season the atmosphere inside the ground felt so different to me that I took the final step, almost as if through a doorway, from being a fan to becoming something else.

Looking back now, I can see that was a mistake.
It has led me to nearly four years of discontent. Led me to distance myself from other Charlton fans and to make enemies of them when there was no need to. Led me ultimately to these last couple of weeks when I have felt almost nothing at hearing of three fantastic wins by the team I thought I was a fan of, two of those wins at home which I should have been there to see.

It's time I let go of the politics, the division and the discontent, and became a CAFC fan again.

It would be an honour to be asked and I would be happy to do it, if it helps the forum.
But I would not be unhappy if the opportunity does not come.
That's closer to 'Yes' than 'No', but I am content with whichever way things turn out.

My fellow mod(in waiting), it was not a mistake getting involved in the politics of the madness going on. You love and care about Charlton Athletic.

After the Fleetwood home game(I was at Bridon Ropes) I bumped into a fella I know who had been to the game. Whilst I was going potty he came out with the immortal line of "I just go to watch the game".

The f****** prick cannot see that if Dushitelet was not in charge we'd have not been in the mess we are now.
