i'm not sure if it's the club who likes to implode or Geordies in general what with all the infighting going on the mackem board of late,do we sit back laugh and think daft ****s no we start **** amongst ourselves and some of them come over and laugh at us (wouldn't be surprised if they started a thread pissing themselves rotten).

 

I wan't directing it at any posters I just sharing my opinion. It's just that ashley can't do anything wrong in some people's eyes and because he has apparently sorted our finances out all his footballing incompetence doesn't matter. As long as we aren't in too much debt we don't need to win football games right? Even if we dropped to league 2 or something that wouldn't matter because our owner is financially sound! I can't understand some people's views!

sorry leazes i have stuck up for you in the past big style but i think you were wrong to start this thread and should have vented your spleen on the many Barton threads that are floating about instead (IMO it's just a rehash of those but with a confrontational title)

 

What you and some others can't seem to understand is that not every regretable incident that happens at the club is Ashley's fault. All four players that left rejected contracts at some stage and were therefore also responsible. Your hatred for Ashley blinds you to that fact and makes you give all the blame one way. Others don't agree with you and accept that the club is right not to throw money at every player who wants more. It is a valid opinion and does not warrant the level of disrespect you showed.

Give me one, just one, example of ANY Toon fan saying that Ashley hasn't done anything wrong. One example. Of any Toon fan. Simple. Back up your claim.

I would say that some of us are looking at our situation and trying to see the good that has been done. The good amongst the bad. Nobody that i'm aware of thinks that Ashley is the best thing since sliced bread, but some seem to think he is the Devil incarnate.

I'd say Shepard but for one thing, sacking Sir Bobby Robson. I'll never forgive him for that and thats the worst footballing decision that anyone has ever made so I'd have to say Ashley simply because of my strong believes about the Sir Bobby situation. If you factored that out though I'd say Shepard hands down.

Fair enough I might of overacted in the terms of disrespect thrown at people and I do apologise if I caused severe offence to anyone but like leazes said in the OP, I just can't get my head around the opinions of those who try and justify Ashleys decisions. How could anyone possibly justify what the FCB is doing to our club?
