It has been a long search by Liverpool for a left back, finally we cracked it
Jamie Redknapp hails Liverpool's Andrew Robertson
Writing in The Daily Mail, Jamie Redknapp has claimed that Liverpool left-back Andrew Robertson would make his Team of the Season.
He is young and learning, and I am sure he is going to get better and better.

Said it before, bargain of the season at £8m. He looks good enough to be our first choice for the foreseeable. My only concern would
be back up, Moreno is just inconsistent. I can't see us addressing this in the short term but if Klopp can pick up bargains like Robbo
    then who knows

Wasn't there a suggesting that Robbo wasn't a Klopp pick? He hardly played in the first half of the season

Klopp says he welcomes people suggesting players to him and TBF I doubt he has time to scout Hull

Explain his refusal to play Robbo in the first half of the season then? He was swapping every position bar LB. It's not like Moreno was performing at the same level as others is it, never mind being undroppable?

Robbo only got a chance following Moreno getting injured

That's a possibility, Klopp preferred to go with what he knew initially

there was an interview with Klopp and he basically said he didn't know anything about Robertson but scouts said buy him so they did.

Personally think he has been a pleasant surprise as he has performed better , defensively , than i expected.I almost feel like he is our only defender who actually likes defending .It is noticeable that opposition teams now target RB instead of LB though that might also have something to do with VVD playing that side as well .

tbh us fans can't stand the mistakes and panic Moreno brings to the party but i think klopp likes the guy so Robertson has had to fight to get a game but when he did he improved weekly and hasnt let Moreno back in.

i think it shows klopp doesn't play favourites and rewards training effort and what you do in games.

Defensively full back is pretty easy role to play. Stay tucked in to CB Nd don’t let balls between you. When it goes wide just stand your man and get close to block crosses.

Robbo does those basics pretty well and that’s all need for a solid full back. Obviously there’s the going forward but but it’s nice to se him doing the basics and the rest means can only improve.

That becomes a lot easier when you have VVD next to him and not lovren.

We effectively swapped Robertson for Kevin Stewart. Great business.

True to a degree but when you compare to TAA who has been done a few times like that a lot of times it’s the anticipation of where ball is going.
