You're doing that thing again where you put your thoughts out there but not to the person who your thoughts on the matter should be directed to. I don't care whether Everton stay or go - it was the Labour fella who wants Everton to stay at Goodison.

Needs to be steep seating/rake/whatever that’s called. Need to be on top of pitch.

There was a possibility of kings dock. Not sure how I feel about ‘safe standing’.

Said before, if it’s a way to put more bodies in ground then no, but one rail seat one person would be a compromise

It’d have to be the latter, not sure we’d want to be the first in the PL to install it though given the sensitivity around the subject.

Tbf I think safe standing is exactly that, the terraces pre Hillsborough were basically lawless and dangerous places, the objection from the Hillsborough families was against the way terracing used to be, but as someone who regularly season after season stood on the 24,000 Spion Kop, I never witnessed any serious injuries, the police and the stadium owners were responsible for the overcrowding of terraces back in the day.
Everton's new build would be able to incorporate safe standing but I can't see other clubs getting rid of the more profitable seating and replace them with standing areas, but if the blues get permission for safe standing and add to the new stadium fair enough.<ok>

Put one rail seat that sits/holds for me person then the same club can’t earn more-unless they discount the seat when in standing mode.

But unlike Everton who have the chance to incorporate safe standing in their new build other clubs would need to, rip out existing seats out, resurface the concrete layout gradient/depth for the standing area and supply and fit the new barrier/seating system, can't see many clubs volunteering to do that.

I guess it all depends on the current design. I believe someone covered the 1:1.5 person ratio from rail seating in normal and standing mode. That could be a possibility for some clubs, but I’m all behind the 1:1 ratio.

    tbh on safe standing.

    1. safe standing is for certain groups and not for others. it's never family friendly.

    2. the only reason to have standing is to have more people in at lower cost per head so it evens out.

    1.8 to 1.

so if people want sections that are all male standing room only cheap access to football then work away. let's not kid ourselves about that it is.

But, let's also not kid ourselves about how unsafe it is at present with supporters at most seated stadiums(including Anfield)of standing throughout games in seated areas.
It's obvious a lot of today's supporters do like to stand and it's not just one age group.

Meis admits the capacity will be less than Anfield and that most fans will be further from the pitch

Everton aren't the people's club any more, now it's all about seats being exclusive through artificial scarcity <laugh>

Planning to have a massive TV though

Looks like there's a lot of work to do to get this planning finalized. Am I wrong in that?

Ambitious project to get this done in the time frame.

They can't finalise the planning until they know how much funding they've scraped together
