Mayor Joe has since the outset more or less acted like his agreements over the plans for the new stadium would be implemented by the council, did he make big assumptions? I don't know the legalities of the the whole thing but if the city council backheel the proposed loan can EFC/Moshiri sue the mayor?, the council?
I think Joe wants to leave a legacy and he'd like a new EFC stadium to be it, so he's doing everything he can to make it happen. Building to start next summer apparently. Not sure how there can be a timeline when there's no paperwork signed yet - I didn't know that bit till Joe did some sort of podcast yesterday? and it was reported in the news.
I doubt you can sue for a verbal agreement. think that's why they always say get it in writing. It is bad business ethics though and you would definetly have a black mark against your name for future enterprises, or not as the case would likely be.
That was a very long time ago now. Do you know how many houses etc that need to be purchased. Roads moved possibly. Terrible surrounding infrastructure.
Expansion is not the issue. EFC have already admitted any increase in capacity will be minimal. Moshiri wants the council to fund infrastructure for his Liver Building offices and Bramley-Moore Way residences.
Well you should look at what’s needed around Goodison. Easier and better long term to move. Plus EITC will leave a legacy at Goodison site, we are the club of the city after all.
The club of the city have the city emblem on their club badge, the club that represents the district of Everton have the district's one time drunkards lock-up jail on their club badge. Just keeping it real PJ.
