We will have to agree to disagree on this, I will however maintain silencing people is in the main wrong, just because you feel this way wielding your moderator stick is only exercising censorship.

We’ve had a good run against them, and needed to win today.

We’ve been poor in 2018, and they are better team and deserve to finish above us as do City and Pool. United are dreadful but grind out results

Agreed - Tottenham and Liverpool have been improving in quality over the years while we have been complacently papering over the cracks by treating the transfer windows as a car boot sale where you’re picking up clubs throwaways. Like I said before the writing was on the wall when we got trolleyed by the duel footballing colossus of Bournemouth & Watford; in previous years we had the quality and resilience to respond such setbacks but this season we no longer have coherent leadership and a spine to make our luck change.

Yup, Spurs and Liverpool have improved, we haven't.
    Bad signings in the summer.
Losing Costa, signing Baka and Morata.
Morata is not a bad player but really is not a Chelsea player. He would be awesome as **** for Liverpool, but we need a striker in the Drogba/Costa mould.
Lukaku would have been great but......<doh>

    Never mind.
Regardless, I think Stan will get his wish very soon any how, as I cannot see Conte surviving past this season with us now.

Might give him pause for thought but I doubt it - I suspect his comments about Babayoko being a prospect was a poor attempt at a windup.....the television cameras don’t lie IMO.

    Well that is my hope.
Not because we disagree at all. I have been back and forthing with him for two seasons, disageeing about ****.
But at this point he is coming across as a WUM account just logging in to talk **** and piss people off.
Even people who kinda agreed with him on some of his points have backed off because of his batshittery.

Spot on, the gradual but continual downgrading of quality has now reached the point that our best 11, giving their all, is not good enough for top 4. I truly hope that RA can see that he has been dreadfully advised by his cronies and has persisted 2 seasons too many with his discredited fire and buy idiocy. Also apparent is the fact that the problem areas are now standing out like dogs balls.
Strikers Morata is not good enough. He scores a great goal then disappears. Giroud likewise and doesn't score.
Midfield Kante is so good it makes your eyes water. Fabregas is past his used by date, Drinkwater and Barkley hopeless and Bakayoko showing nothing so far. Midfield is our longest lasting and biggest weakness.
Moses is not consistant enough, undoes any good work with the worst crosses and decision making possible. His best work is defence, which is not too flash for an attacker. Zappacosta also below requirements. Emerson Palmieri on the left needs game time.
Christensen is rattled and not coping with the pressure. Conte has been asking too much of him, too soon and too often. With Cahill virtually finished, Conte has been left shamefully bare of defenders. Is Luiz really injured for so long????
Finally Hazard, another poor game from him, starting to add up. Defenders have sussed him and his threat is being snuffed out. He's no Messi.
Over to you RA, more of the same or a complete change of backroom advisors and a rebuild ???

It’s quite clear that the Chelsea team needs a complete overhaul. We had the future in the ranks but decided to sell or loan them all!

A massive clearout is needed in the summer with most of the midfield having to leave, even the new ones we bought.

Time to look at the youth, keep Conte on, give him control and some spending money and see what happens. Clearly everyone has given up this season so it’s best tonplan for the next.

Normally agree with you in general but i'm going to have to disagree on:

    1. Giroud, hardly been given a chance but agree he shouldn't be our main striker but disagre on him disappearing and doesn't score. He would at least put himself about which morata doesn't do.

    2. Morata is not good enough as a long striker. He's not a costa and we can't just lump balls up to him (this ones on conte)

    3. Fabregas is done. Not good enough for a 3-5-2 and doesn't suit our team unfortunately. Drinkwater and Barkley i have to disagree with hopeless, not looking great but they've barely been given a chance. Bakayoko has been abysmal so i agree there.

    4. Moses is not consistent enough. Much prefer Zappacosta there who has also been very inconsistent but has shown quality imo. Disagree on him there.

    5. Christensen needs time out. I cannot believe that Conte has persisted with him when he's been at fault for quite a few key goals (and seems to be injured all the time). Again this ones on him.

    6. Hazard is deffo no messi. Too busy holding the ball up and dribbling with it. Look at KDB pass master and only dribbles when its the optimal option. Not totally Hazards fault as we don't have the options on the ball that City have but i betcha that Hazard would still dribble it about all the time even if he had the options.

......you really are the prophet of doom. Except you got the score line slightly wrong. We were 1-0 up and we fucked it up. I sat through that game, we weren’t that bad but the Spuds took their chances and we didn’t. I hope Conte is manager next season, but whoever is manager we need some big signings in the summer to move the club forward. John Terry in his day would have stopped Dele Alli scoring both his goals but we now lack his quality in central defence.

Indeed, that’s the best sack of Spuds I’ve seen against us at Stamford Bridge in 30 odd years. However, in that time, we’ve matched and beaten the Spuds with relatively far weaker sides than the Chelsea side that was on the pitch yesterday.

What I find surprising is the problem with our central defence that hasn’t been sorted by what is a great Italian manager. There must be a pair of Italian central defenders in the Italian league that Conte could have bought.

Keep Conte on and give him more control then we'll end up 12th next season. There's a reason Juventus wouldn't give him more control either.

No reaction from our manager when we went behind. That's ok if we were bossing it and been unlucky but second half they were head and shoulders better than us. We seem like a broken machine. Conte waited till about 80 mins before he made a change when we all could see it wasn't working way before that. To many average players playing for a man they don't believe in, even average players can compete and show willingness I saw none of this from our team yesterday bar Kante, without him we would not be in the Europey spot.

The fact is that the top four have strengthened and improved whereas we have gone backwards. Imo we need a keeper, 2 good solid defenders, a top notch partner for Kante, a decent right sided midfielder and a killer striker. As it stands, we are miles off it. Oh and TC has thrown the towel in.
