St Arseholes day beckons, beat Stoke then beat the Champions, would make it worthwhile giving them a guard of honour.
Delle Alli proving once again he is THE man. What a result for Spurs! https://www.results24.co.uk/match/chelsea-tottenham-2017-2018/0jTrnLQN/#match-summary
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino speaking to Sky Sports: “After 28 years it is important to win here. It's a happy day for everyone - fans, players - and we feel very proud. “We dominated the game but Chelsea created the chances and scored. In the second half we were much better and we deserved the victory. “We tried to change and switch some players at half-time to find better links and positions to move the ball. "After the game when you win it looks like a good decision. "The players deserve praise because we showed character at 1-0 down. It's a day to feel very proud.” Sounds about right. We were ragged in the first half and much better after the break.
Finally after nearly 30 years of agony we have won at the Bridge. We have been the victims of some maulings there, games where we also played well and deserved a result but didnt get one. We also never used to beat United, never used to finish above Arsenal but times have changed. We have caught these sides up now, we are even better than them - Arsenal certainly and ive no doubt but for the early struggles at Wembley we would be 2nd in the league now ahead of United and Liverpool. What a crucial goal Eriksens was before HT because of we coud have gone in 2 down. Full credit to Poch for making the tactical change (although many of us were calling it too). Vertonghen was superb at the back, Dier was excellent, Lamela just didnt stop all game and Eriksen sublime. Huge credit to Dele too, that was the Dele of last season in front of goal. 2 targets left, win the Fa cup and chase down Liverpool in 3rd place who are certainly catchable.
So this season we've beaten the mousers, the chavs, manure, and l'arse, I've got a good feeling re citeh.
