I believe it was Carroll's fault he has left, not the boards. But Llambias isn't going to win any fans having a go at Shearer!

Nice bit of class from LLambias slagging off Shearer. Relatively speaking 'top money' is not 27K a week for a player to build our team around, Carroll was well within his right to ask for more- especially considering some other players, Smith, Xisco (until recently), Colocinni, were making double what he was.

On the one hand it's frustrating that we don't hear anything from the people running the club then on the other hand when this idiot opens his mouth I just think why did he bother???

Obviously a lot of fans are going to be bitter regarding the Carroll deal and theres been claims and counter claims as to the ins and outs of the deal and who the bad guy is from both partys, but the worst possible thing this muppet could do is have a thinly veiled dig at Shearer for his comments.

Obviously Shearer has legendary status even with his ill fated spell at the club so when Llambias is already facing a losing battle to get fans back on side the worst thing he can do is have a pop at the greatest ever number 9. It seems that Llambias will never learn on how to deal with the media and the fans Ashley needs to get shot of this idiot if he wants to try and gain any shread of credibility

 

Derek completely missed the mark having a dig at Shearer, especially taking the shot about the 5 in 8. BUT, I think Shearer was wrong in saying the club should've splashed the cash on a last minute desperation replacement. It wasn't out of line to address Alan's comments, but talking **** about him was stupid.

 

His comment on Shearer isnt even relevant, so what if he only got us 5 points? That has nothing to do with his knowledge of transfers and Carroll, especially as they wouldnt give him any to spend when he discussed managing us in the CCC.

 

Shearer's right I think they will get a backlash against Arsenal, though I suspect that Llambias is right about Carroll.
