I can’t comprehend that. Roast dinner needs crispy roast potatoes. Quite possibly my favourite part to a roast dinner.

    Am getting hungry now.

I put a layer of potatoes in the bottom of the pan and after 4 hours cooking in the lamb fat they are my fav bit of the whole meal.

    Shepherd's Pie for tea.

Will have it with peas and carrots.

Had a leg of lamb for Sunday dinner and yesterday had another full lamb dinner for tea.

The shepherd's pie was made with what remained after that.

Made some Aubergine and potato curry for some friends tonight over drinks. So happy they enjoyed it and the nan breads.

Leg of lamb!! Doesn't get much better than that.

We usually dry curry what's left.

Never occurred to me to shepherd pie it.

Must remember that next time round

If you can't even make a shepherds pie, what can you make, except bacon sarnies off course.

I can make a few things. Nowt spectacular.

What else do I need to be able to make?

I've never claimed to be Mr Metrosexual, matching women in the kitchen or wtf else.

I'm **** in the kitchen. Live with it.

Married someone who can cook. That wasn't a fluke! ;)

So I'm a good judge of cooks and a bad judge of wives.

Hit the jackpot this time round though mate.

16 years, still together and a new personal best for me <laugh>

That was a mad thread wasn't it.

We were all posting the same stuff. You too. We all were.

It was refreshingly honest among a big group of guys, and incredibly naive at the same time.

I deleted them a long time ago mate.

Not long after that I posted a meet up thread.

Had something like 20-25 guys all saying they'd turn up.

    Just 1 did <laugh>
