As said, the exact same hesitation from Calvert-Lewin, Salah and Kane seemed to elicit a completely different opinion from Shearer et al, and now you too, it seems.
There was contact but it wasn't a foul imo. Of course, I'm from a era where it wasn't simply a case of "there was contact" and I don't care if the game as changed in this regard
Subtly different situations I think. If it is not clearly spotted by the ref as a dive (and by everyone else) I.e the player can get away with it it’s a pen. If it is obvious to the referee then it is a dive
only to you. fifa rules. ref is god. doesn't matter what the rest of us think he handled it and got a huge advantage from it but no yellow. ref bottled it. simples. its utterly irrelevant. he was an idiot to handle it and we were lucky. klopp even admits that
But it was blatant foul on him, that even Gallagher, on a singular mission to defend Swarbrick at all costs, had to grudgingly concede.
Behave yourself, you’re being laughably ridiculous ffs He’s a staunch kopite hence his 2 years of failing to predict a RS defeat. The fact that he might have had the temerity to criticise the cult after the odd game over the years is more about his ego about his quality as a defender.....during an era when your defence has been largely Shiite
Predicting the weekend results isn't the same as slating his former club at every given opportunity on MOTD though is it, he's been hyper critical of us since he first got the job. Him and Hansen played a kind of good cop-bad cop game when analysing our matches, he just kept on playing bad cop since Hansen left the show.
but it's not been blown up so it's irrelevant. sorry but it is. mane fans the ball and ref gives free in. so like klopp I fail to see how the he'll he didn't send him off
Wasn't up to Mane to decide whether it was a foul or not. Ref didnt give it but Mane handled the ball = deliberate handball and yellow card.
****ing guy just clearly kicked the ball away from Ozil and still gets a pen given against him. No yellow card for Ozil.
You said yourself "ref is God". By that logic it's not a card because the ref didn't give it. Of course we all know that it should have been a yellow, because that's what you get for deliberate handball. However, I'm just pointing out that you're being selective when you accept the infallibility of the first decision but question the second.
Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't, still handball afterwards. imo it evened it up anyway. He shouldn't have been booked for diving as, in modern day terminology... 'there was contact'.
Got to feel for Lallana. Prob his WC chance over which is Shame as would be his last one. actuslly think milner has been decent for us in that wide midfield 3. Offers decent threat and links up nicely. Can go either way when is wide as shown for goal yesterday. Offers that experience as well, certainly think he’ll be kept and maybe extended for another couple years.
Just seen Spurs have beat Chelsea. Leaves them 10pts behind but with a game in hand. And some of you were more concerned about getting top four than second
