Their midfield's dominating us. At HT let's sacrifice a striker for a midfielder and/or bring shane long on so that he could win those direct balls
Honestly, this, given the circumstances, has probably been as bad as it’s been. Centre halves can’t defend, both full backs are playing in slow motion, and midfield two seem like they are on the beach. Mediocre.
The players are a big part of it, but I'm sure having Pellegrino as Manager for 30+ games hasn't helped with confidence. The club has just waited too long to sack Pellegrino, which we all knew months ago, but hey ho.
An under strength WH are being made to look like Barca. We deserve to go down on our performances this year. We were always going to get a scrap. To have romeu on the bench is a joke.
Enough is enough, Tadic is the only attacking player not to be dropped this season, he is just not cut out for a relegation fight IMO, he's probably had about half a dozen effective games this season and I would like to see someone else get a chance now.
I accept I'm getting ahead of myself, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility that this is the last time Lemina starts from us. Hughes obviously has a very limited time to do something this season. So you would assume that you won't hang around it making changes. So after today, there's every chance that Lemina gets dropped for next weekend. And that gives Romeu the chance to stake his claim until the end of the season. And then if we go down, Lemina presumably leaves in the summer. Shame, because there is clearly a very talented player in there when he's on it.
