Absolutely massive win for us that. 6 games left. Will be watching the Chelsea vs Spurs game with a lot of interest, hoping Chelsea drop points. A draw would be good but a Chelsea loss would be excellent.

Play like that against City though and it'll be over by half time!

 

Extra pleasure was derived from seeing the old mouse-murderer hopping up and down in frustration.

Tough game......didn't think we were poor as much as CP were good at doing what they do, especially first half. They noticeably tired in the 2nd half
and when you have Mo on the pitch there is always that chance. Chuffed with a big, big three points

1. windy.. joke player away from home.

2. henderson dunno what he was at. blind balls into box constantly just giving it away

3. milner.. winger or cm
was so wide he was out of game a lot.

4. mane. stinker. what was it i said.. someone to push these guys on? hmmm. maybe next season

city game is at home so we have to deliver a good showing

I get your point - if I were one of our coaches I'd be all over them for every mistake. But I'm just a passive fan, so when we get a decent win I'm happy.

 

Good watching Gallagher squirm when Souness made him admit that all refereeing decisions are subjective. Utterly bemused with Kelly Cates as well: 'Should Mane have been on the pitch to score the equaliser?'. Wut?

 

If he does half as good as the ex Chelsea reject...

 

Dermot seems to think that if you stay on your feet it's not a pen, if you delay and go down it's not a pen, but if he goes down instantly...

 

He was guilty of exagerating the contact no more, you will note when mcarthur exagerated later in the game nothing was said

 

There’s only one thing that will stop it and that is a ref having the bollox to blow up and award a pen when the player doesn’t go down.

If you kick someone and make zero contact with the ball then you have fouled them, but there is no way a ref is giving it unless the player hits the deck, so you get players throwing themselves down to ensure the ref knows he was kicked
