Walton CLP passed a similar resolution. @LiamThorpECHO 10:38 PM - Mar 23, 2018 So the plan for the Council to loan the money to Everton hasn't been ratified by full council yet. I thought that had been done and dusted going by Joe's confident words at the breakfast meeting.
This gentleman is anti move. He has been a vocal minority, doesn’t believe the club should help the club raise funds for the council/start the regeneration and increase investment in the city. But that’s his opinion.
Maybe he is anti move but the tweet says the West Derby and Walton CLP's unanimously requested the meeting which means he's not alone in having concerns. He sounds like an old school blue nose by his twitter feed.
Which is why I said he's old school, like me, I don't want us to ever move from Anfield - shiny new stadium on the docks or not.
He had his season ticket revoked a few years ago. He had a disagreement with the club and acted from what I understand.....not very well. Old school is good and well when for 30 years a club has purchased houses around the ground. Goodison is almost impossible to expand.
