I think it runs deeper than that, 3 seasons of mediocre football, and a club sold down the river, is where the disillusioned waning support lies, and this summers recruitment needs to be the turning point, as we will not last another season with the way we are being run currently, since the Yanks arrived it's been nothing but relegation battles and crap footy, it cannot continue, who wants to throw away good money on the dross we have served up these last few seasons?.................
The sooner we go down to the championship where proper games are played the better football we will see.....That is the honest opinion.
If,we go down we will carry on going down. So,for me Championship football is a never please. Nothing to be gained by failure.
Not good enough. The yanks have not invested enough to keep us in this league. They certainly will not invest in the relegated level and so on... The warning was there last season and they did nothing but sell close season.
You only got to see swans fans admitting defeat already against Man utd......You dont find that attitude in the Championship.... Should we lose against WBA which is a strong possibility then we will be a strong candidate for relegation.....Our honeymoon period is well and truly over make no mistake about that......
They buried a comedian today but its good to see that he left an apprentice to carry on the good work
Admitting defeat against Man Utd (2nd in most competetive league in the world) you wouldn't get that attitude in the Championship? yeah...you are totally right. That would be equivalent of QPR admitting that they would lose to Cardiff before they play and that wouldn't happen as the divide between them isn't that great. They have both been automatically promoted in recent years. With us and Man Utd, i dont recall us being a top four side for a while? And also, why do you scald fans for admitting defeat against upcoming Man Utd game (2nd)..then a little further in the same post freely admit yourself that we are probably 'strong possibility' (sic) going to lose to West Brom (20th). I am not one of the admitters just to note by the way, but I do have an appreciation for odds. /rant
Lawro predicts defeat: "A few of Manchester United's players were in good form over the international break and seeing Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba get among the goals for Belgium and France respectively is good news for United too. Swansea have done brilliantly under Carlos Carvalhal, who has lost only two of his 10 games in charge, but it is hard to see them getting anything at Old Trafford. Lawro's prediction: 2-0"
The odds are stacked against us for this match, what with Madley in charge, our second least favourite ref behind Dean, the current trend for cheating to gain free kicks and penalties by the big sides, and our poor form after international breaks, it doesn’t look good. However, our record at Old Trafford is not too shabby, and if we can replicate the gutsy performance of the Huddersfield match we may have a chance of getting something out of this. With West Brom away the week after we must avoid a demoralising defeat, and a goal feast for them. Not conceding early on would help us, the longer the match goes on without them scoring the more restless the home fans will get, which will transmit down to their players. I’ll be there cheering them on and hoping for an upset, if Huddersfield can do it we can.
Park the bus and we risk getting slaughtered as we have seen in our last two games. Hudders demoralised us and we were lucky they were poor but spurs won comfortably and Man U will run riot if we use that tactic against them....We have to play to our strengths and go for the win because if we camp in our own half then we will never get a sniff of scoring and that will be 3 games on the trot where we spend 90% in our own half....
Andre Ayew will need to hit the form he had when he left us last, if we are to get anything from this game, we certainly need to not gift Manur an early goal, trouble is we don’t do well after international breaks, hope it’s not one of our slow and ponderous games, as we will get slaughtered without doubt, wonder how Carlos will handle this fixture?
