Today should kill the last of any hope kicking about. We can make SAFC all about getting rid of Short then. Time to force a new era.

If the others lose , we’ll probably get a draw to keep us (fans) hanging on, if we go 8 pts from safety at 5 o’clock , then I can see Derby stuffing a good 4 or 5 past us as the players will care even less than they do now

The fans who've abandoned the club have ****ed any chance of someone buying us.

No sorry mate. That's just daft. It doesn't take long to work out why the club have lost the fans.

But a new regime will know full well that investment and success will soon have disaffected fans streaming back.

    That's just an absolute given.

Would they? We have a large section who only bother when we are in the Premier league.

It's true. If there have been potential buyers in attendance at games what would make us more appealing, a 3/4 empty stadium deathly silent or 40,000 showing their love and support for the club.

We have tens of thousands of fans but we only have about 25,000 supporters

We were getting 27-30,000 last time we were in League 1 and heading for promotion.

If that happens again the crowds will soon flock back. It wouldn't occur to me for a second that that wouldn't happen.

Just look at the numbers we've been getting through the gates with mediocre football.

    You're being too pessimistic mate.

Its grim at the minute but this could lead to the biggest shake-up in years at the club.

Not that Short would , but if he stumped up the money and said to the players “ two hundred grand each if you keep us up “. - do you reckon that would get them playing any different ?

I always thought the "great escapes" sprang when the reality of that 40% wage drop was looking a reality.

Terrible selection from what is available and that is bad enough, so bad it hardly makes any difference what team he picks but, Catts, Jos, Love and Fletcher, god help us.

I know, the squad is bad but why the **** pick those players who have been nothing but a waste of space all season. Coleman's starting to really irritate me.

Rubbish mate. The club is no less attractive due to less fans. The debt is what makes us unattractive. Our fans, stay away or nit, are among the best in the country. Who else could get over 20000 after the dross we’ve put up with for as long as we have? Not even the mags would fill their ground after thus with what we’ve put up with. They’ll argue “52000 screaming geordies} (even with an average around 48000) but that wouldn’t happen bottom of the second division. Same with Leeds, villa etc. Still the 3rd best followed club in the championship I believe.
