Well yeah, you can - but you shouldn't if you expect any credibility. You think we should bankrupt ourselves trying to compete on spending with a club that has significantly greater resources? Don't you think it's possible to build a competitive squad that doesn't have 2 "stars" for every position?
Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool remain in contract talks with Emre Can and that "nothing is decided" with regards to the midfielder's future. Can is out of contract at the end of the season and has refused to commit his future to the club, fuelling speculation he could leave in the summer, with Juventus reportedly linked with the Germany international
You are assuming you know what i am thinking there. I have not said we need the same standard or players I have shown that we need 23 players. I never said "stars" either You need to stop assuming these things now that said..... (which is fair enough but perhaps cheeky) We need 2 players in every position 100% if you want to say ok how many forwards do we need for the front 3 positions and you said but we have 5 and they are all flexible. then i'd say well ok ox and lallana might be additional cover. Do we have 5 today? serious question. Mane, salah firmino. I would not agree that ings and solanke can be no 4 and 5. I can't see it. I am not saying we need to do what the papers are saying with timo werner for 100mil. I could argue this another way btw. We have milner, can, henderson, ox, lallana, and wijnaldum. thats six before kids like grujic. if i now said hey can is gone but keita is coming we are fine... would you be happy with this set of 6? henderson with injury concerns and no other no 6 option bar grujic? I wouldn't.. i think we need one more CM. do you agree there? We are not light of bodies in defence either so there its someone leaves someone comes in. my opinion here is and i've said is 3 times now is solanke and ings cannot be our options if we get a 3 month injury. we need the competition. Its about replacing coutinho and sturridge for me.
We need two OPTIONS for every position, not necessarily two players for each. For example, Milner can play CM, RB, LB, LM or RM. Mane can play left or right. Firmino isn't restricted to CF. Even TAA can play more than just RB. We need squad depth but that doesn't necessarily mean 23+ players.
I can only go on what you say - I don't presume to know what you're thinking (it's probably just as well )
I think you are all wrong we need 15 top top quality for every position. This way they cannot play for anyone else #acmilandidinthe80s #chelseamorerecently #citymaydoit
I agree it wasn't really an argument, an argument would be a two way thing whereas no one on here can answer those questions I posted #onesided
i note youve not answered on midfield as well now as up front. what happens if lfc take this attitude and we just buy keita and keep ings and solanke. henderson injured.. who plays no 6 then? firmino injured/mane injured and we have to play ings for 3 months. nobody has answered these either.
i did say about flexibility and anyone a actually ready my city bit would have seem comments on delph and seen foden in as wide option! finally someone willing to discuss it. i have said do we buy one flexible forward or two specialists and commented that ebery klopp signing bar robertson are flexible in where they play my view is still we have lost coutinho, sturridge will go. origi should go... and solanke should go on loan. leaves ings as a risky back up to the entire front 3 with maybe ox and lallana as emergency cover but they are all so far removed from salah and firmino our whole game goes in my opinion we need at least one player and probably two in longer term. i never said woodburn couldnt be one just as taa has stepped up AND i neber said it couldn't be wilson. i have specifically talked about striker no 9 role. its a case that in a 433 we already have 23+ senior players as outlined but the quality isnt good. 3 gk 8 df actually 9 6 cms plus kids. have frint 3 plus 4 reserves inc origi. thats 24 players. when origi, sturridge and others go we have to replace.
the scrap heap mate. sturridge is toast. you you accept any one of the above for 3 months. thats what this boils down to. imo if we had to for just one injury we could well be in trouble.
nobody knows where kieta money is from. it is agreed. it could be more simply argues that it could be completed within same financial year for ffp rules for example to free for more signings later in summer. transfer budgets are determined by lots of things. we never know until the money is finally spent what lfc really have. prob last 3 years the glut of supposed spending is coming and it hasnt. keita is signing. end of there after that imo replacing can, sturridge and origi is very important.
Sturridge may be toast but he is OUR contracted toast i.e. not gone. You asked for alternatives and i gave them not my fault you didn't say they had to be quality alternatives. Just who is the top class replacement for Kane that Spurs have ? Who is the high quality replacement for Lukaku that ManU have ? Who is the high quality replacement striker that Chelsea have ? Do we need extra bodies who can take up first team slots - yes Can we do all we want in 1 window - very unlikely unless the magic money tree is in full bloom.
fair enough you are right though.. spurs have a serious flaw in what you pointed out. they flog kane and frankly he does well but hes ypung still and it will come back on him in the end. utd... seriously... zlatan.. rashford.. martial at a pinch. chelsea. .. morata. then they have loaned out their option. giroud hazard, pedro willian for 2 slots.
