Think he's done well in challenging conditions sometimes - hopefully Tony doesn't employ some fancy-pants PR **** to take his place
The way things are atm, it's likely he won't be replaced and someone else will just be given the essentials of his job.
I think he has done a very good job. A few years ago I sent him a mail about my thoughts on a communication issue which I then though was very important (I now really cannot recal what it was). I was very surlrised to get a very prompt serious and detailed reply. A top man!
I was with Ian last night, Paul Morrissey is taking over as head of communications so it we be a seamless transition.
Yeah but not allowed to say anything about it I'm afraid. But don't worry it's nothing exciting, I don't know why it's had to stay off record. An announcement will be made after the local elections on May 3rd. I don't want it to appear that I'm part of some QPR inner sanctum, so if anyone else on here would like to represent our board at these meetings instead of me let me know.
I probably shouldn't have even mentioned what I have, if anyone at the club reads our board I doubt that I'll be invited back mate.
Name dropper? Ian Taylor? I personally can't stand name droppers kiwi. In fact I was only having this conversation over a beer with Brad Pitt last week.
But you could have done with Ms Paltrow. How cool is that?! Why not delete your post / this thread if you really think there is risk of not being invited back?
It’s a bit bizarre the club doing this - a nice gesture to talk to fans’ representatives, but to then tell them to keep quiet about it when the reason they are invited is that they communicate regularly with lot of other fans is odd. Anyway, keep schtum mate, you are our Trojan Horse. Or something.
Perhaps there is a specific reason they don't want to publicize it just yet, a specific timing issue... ....maybe to do with the 28 day opportunity for the Friends of Warren Farms appeal window. Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
No desire to make anything of this, but if that is the case why not just wait to brief when the window closed? I think it’s a well meaning initiative with some odd consequences. No matter.
I am disappointed to see Ian go in my time working at the Crown & Sceptre 6 or 7 years ago I always found him to be a very approachable and likeable chap and often had a pint with him after games. He always had the club's best interests at heart in my opinion and stuck with the club through some difficult times. I wish him all the best in his new role.
