I have to go along with the Res choice of Battle of Marathon in the last at Lingers. It is a fiercely competitive heat with many having contested these races over the winter, but BOM went in my tracker after his performance lto and although there doesn't seem to be a logical reason why he should reverse the Winter Derby result, I have a feeling he just might and at 14-1 is a great ew bet.
For what it's worth Tomorrow at Lingfield Eljaaddaaf Red Verdon Silver Soul Kachy Nap Rock on Baileys Arcanada Mr Owen
It seems the popular bet today is to have a go at the Lingfield card so here goes: 1:30 - Silent Echo 6/1 2:00 - Soldier In Action 8/1 2:30 - Zest 9/2 3:05 - Kimberella 4/1 3:40 - Rock On Baileys 8/1 EW 4:10 - Sacred Act 12/1 EW (not just because its Don's horse. I think the favourite will win so it came down to this one and Arcanda for me and quite simply the bigger price swung it for me) 4:40 - Mr Owen 4/1 (probably the most difficult race of the day to pick one for me, there's a number that I could have gone for and i'll not tell a lie the deciding factor came simply came down to the fact that my youngest son is called Owen)
My arrows for today at Lingfield. 2.00 Mountain Bell 3.05 Kimberella 4.10 Arcanada 4.40 Mr Owen Good luck all. Lets have a proper Good Friday.
Cheers boyyysss, getitng old man 24, nearly a 1/4 of a damn century! Least my horse is running next week and not this week so can wait a week to lose the birthday money haha
I felt young on here at 35 listening to some of these old codgers until saw this post, 24 Jesus Christ Chelsea your just a pup! Enjoy your day
Morning 3.40 Lingfield-Never Back Down @ 9-2 [Sportpesa] Be some training performance by Hugo Palmer to get this horse to win a big race on first run of season
My Lingfield selections are Mountain Bell (2.00) and Zest (2:30) Interesting handicap at Newcastle at 3:20 for me. Quite an even field with 7 or 8 with claims but I've opted for Amazing Red - came up short a fortnight ago by Island Brave (running in this race also) and Koeman. There are a lot of tempting prices in this race but I fancy that's because there will be less than a length and a half between the first four.
Eddiemaurice Bath 4.25 ew @ 16/1. 2nd in this race last year however this looks a deeper race. Soft ground, low weight aided by a 7lb claimer should hopefully see him in the shake up. Good luck all and happy birthday Chelsea. Twenty fookin four. I celebrated that milestone in 1990!
War Glory @ 8/1 in the opener at Lingfield. Lost out in this same race last year by a nostril and has the yard's top claimer taking 3lb off.
