  7. Good morning from a gloomy and grey North West London. Looking forward to a quiet long weekend after what has been a frenetic fortnight at work - am sure my family have other plans for me <cry>

Washing machine arrived at the appointed time, old one taken away, new one installed and set working by them at a hot temperature to give it a good clean out. A shake of the hand and the two of them were off to their next delivery 80 kms away. I now know why they vanished so quickly. There is a horrible smell of a new appliance heating up. Mme is now happily putting her language learning to the test as she reads the instruction booklet. I think I will put my nose over a glass of wine. That should smell better. :emoticon-0100-smile

Good night all, and it may be a few days before I return to the board. I was supposed to move tomorrow and so I have my phone number and internet being moved accordingly. However, I took too long in letting the agent for where I am now whether I would need some of his men and a van to help (partly die to my ex-wife - I'm not explaining that), so I'm not moving properly until Tuesday morning.

Morning all. Grey and damp outside, but all dry around the washing machine I am glad to say. The smell has disappeared from it and Mme seems to have conquered the new features at her disposal. Shopping to do shortly which will no doubt be a fight against the tide of people who will be deprived of food until Tuesday unless they buy up a couple of trolleys filled to the brim. Have a good day. Rain forecast at the Vic for 3.00 pm.

All right clever people. On our morning dog walk we encountered many of our usual suspects. One couple told us that Cadbury's Flakes do not melt. Put them in the microwave (presumably not for too long) or a bain-marie and they just sit there. If this were tomorrow then I would assume a Poisson d'Avril but it is not. Anyone know the truth?

They are certainly not as crumbly with the new (ish) American recipe, but if they are chocolate, they must melt surely?
