It is a truth universally acknowledged, that an item of perishable foodstuff in need of preservation, must be in want of a good picklin'. From the first draft of Brine 'n' Bread U Diss. Never made the second draft unfortunately.
Took bike out today - razzed through the Lincolnshire Wolds for a coffee at Willie Woods then a 20 mile bimble to Cleggy for fish (haddock obvs) & chips. Had my first try of Papas offerings, not bad at all - Trenchers at Whitby is a 10 then Papa's was certainly a solid 8 ..... I'll be back for more.
Everyone queues for fish & chips The length of the queue varies...but that’s how fish and chip shops work There’s only 2 ways to avoid it. 1. Get there first 2. Go to a **** fish and chip shop
Ok, fair point I should’ve been more specific... who queues to the extent that it warrants mentioning ‘enjoy queueing’? I’ve never been in a chippy and had more than 5 people in front of me.
I'm starving myself till teatime. Then large haddock, patty, chips, mushy peas, white bap and Mz Kemptons piccalilli. Mug of Yorkshire. Might fit a savaloy in there. Now wtf kicks off at 12:50?
