Bah you're a hard nosed bastard finding that funny . The human side of me feels sympathy that it is only just dawning on these blokes what they have done. I don't think it should be suddenly forgiven but perhaps they didn't truly grasp it all initially.

As a proud Aussie, never in my 103 years of existence have I seen such disgrace brought upon my country. Crying in public? A bloke? Strewth mate.
****ing cheating bastards. . Big hard aussies my ****in arse. .. Warner is a arrogant ****ing prick always has been, Smith sneaky fuka, both have had there cumupense.. .they can dish out the insults, give it large and give it the big one. .. Well **** me you look pathetic now.. .
They are only full of remorse because they got caught which is an indication of how much sympathy we should have for them. I think a year ban and to have their careers stained with a stench of disgrace is a fair punishment to be fair, not to mention the "craic" with our fans when the next Ashes roll around.
This Warner interview is in part hilarity and in part a shocking display of him refusing to answer questions such as "was anyone else involved other than the 3 charged", "have you or the others ever done this in any other match before", and "whose idea was it to cheat". They are still covering part of this up.
Blatantly there have been others involved. That won’t reflect well on Smith, Bancroft who have told Lehmann, Sutherland and the public it was just the three of them. He could have just lied but to be fair got caught in a bad place. He is in his 30’s and probably doesn’t want to either dob his mates in, forever known as a grass, or lie and when it inevitably comes out those two opening quicks and Lyon knew (I’m speculating) then he is forever known as a liar and deceitful twat, on top of being considered a cheating ****. I don’t think any of them should have had to do the pressers. It was just to satisfy the rabid dogs. Saying that it has resulted in him more or less revealing the truth hasn’t been told.
I was thinking why did they do this so publicly? They were on a hiding to nothing sitting in front of journos but maybe they thought coming clean (which is blatantly what they haven't done, at least fully) would get them some sympathy. Most likely they were pushed into it by the big wigs at Cricket Australia but they could have done written statements instead without having to sit there and refuse to answer questions. They would have got asked them eventually though I suppose. The whole thing could actually be good for the game as it has brought the issue of playing in the spirit of the game back into focus, and that is well overdue.
