There was a documentary on TV, a few years back, about some 2nd Generation Afro-English kids who went “back to our roots” by visiting the birth place of their parents, and spent some quality time in engaging in the culture. None of them decided to stay and all were relieved to get back “home” to dear old Blighty.
If they are born and raised here, then why would they stay there? Their social conditioning has occurred here. However that doesn't mean they discard their roots. Most have the utmost respect for them. It's what made their parents and the generations before that. We were born here, raised here and undergo the same social conditioning as everyone else in our immediate surroundings, that's all.

I don't think everything in my parents culture is great, just like they didn't think that either and just like I don't think everything in British culture is great. After that I have a brain and I use it. This is my country as much as yours therefore I can choose the world I create around me just like you can...the only difference is you think you can do as you wish, discard what you wish, embrace what you wish. Yet someone of colour must be doing that for an ulterior motive. You'll be surprised at how many British people think a lot of aspects of British culture stink. You are not the custodian of British culture..I create the world I want to create
Where did I make any of the claims you mention? You need to lose the chip on your shoulder. On here, we're all colourless, but some still seem to felt the need to play the colour card.
